Nah, I've never been to a live show, in a bar or otherwise. There are some free festies around here. I've just never had the opportunity to attend.

Music Midtown is the most popular music fest in the state, and it takes place in ATL(maybe 40 miles from my home). It's moderately expensive though, and my financial problems have been well-documented on HF. lol

 

I got to the venue (deep in the woods) Thursday evening. Set up a very nice campsite less than ¼ mile from the stage. Worked until 10 unloading and starting set-up. Worked all day Friday setting up the stage, dance floor, and dome. It was really hot and I was really tired. Gator-Ade saved my ass. Worked the gate for 3 hours into the night. Divine moments of truth later. Hung out by the dance floor, but too tired to dance. To bed before midnight. It was soooo hot where we were.

Saturday I went in to town and had a shower, which was amazing. Back at the gathering I gave a workshop Saturday afternoon and then hung out at our campsite for a few hours. Some very nice people were in and out of our place and I was gifted in several lovely ways.

About 5 in the afternoon took 28 mg 2C-I with one of the people camping with us. It was coming on within the hour and kept on going higher and higher and higher and… We were lying on our mattresses in another amazing (but at least for me, indescribable) psychedelic haze for an hour or two, but the music (chill at that time of day) was so incredible and insistent that I had to get up and go. We danced and hung out for awhile, then back to campsite.

Later, when it was completely dark I went back to the dance floor. The walk to the dance floor was a deep psychedelic experience. Lots of people had LED lights at their campsite (I had a big white heart with red lights on one side and white on the other – it was hanging from a tree and would turn slowly in the breeze). So there were all these pretty lights and otherwise it was just black and the stage ahead, black-lighted, sparkles, light show, incredible decos, and the music totally psychedelic (deep psytrance by now, e.g., https://soundcloud.com/atum-1/pymmetry-earth). People dancing in the darkness – me too.

I got to the dance floor and danced my ass off for awhile, then went to the side of the stage where the DJ list was and while I was there, several of the people we’d been with in the afternoon came over. The woman and I were dancing and then the man and I sat beside the floor (I was dancing sitting down but he was deep into his trip, basically sitting there vibrating), but the woman kept dancing. And this is how it seemed: she danced some for me, with parts being sexy and parts being otherwise beautiful. It was like she was doing it as a beautiful gift to me, nothing more and nothing less than that dance in that moment. I’m far past the age when those sorts of things happen, so it was very far and out and very sweet for me. Or maybe it was all ideas of reference. Whatever, it’s ALL GOOD.

We had thought to flip, but with all the work, dancing and whatnot, I was wasted. Back at the campsite my friends and I laid around talking, smoking and just being and somewhere around 1 or 2, drifted off to sleep.

Sunday I worked until after 5 on the teardown and then hit the road to home.

I know this wasn't directed at me, but I would describe 2C-I as a milder version of 2C-E.

@porkstock: I find 2ci intermediary in potency between 2cb and 2ce.

The visuals seem of a different nature than most other Phenethylamines in my experience, but overall it definitely feels like a PEA. For the visuals I'll provide an oversimplificated example/hypothesis, it seems as if 2ci might be a stronger agonist on certain 5ht2 transmitter receptors than many of the other 2cx's, (I believe I've read it's the strongest 5ht2c agonist of the 2cx's) however not as strong as a 5ht2a antagonist, which is usually implicated for a lot of the hallucinatory activity of most psychedelics. I often find more depth perception visual 'tricks' on 2ci and very pronounced, pristine shading and mental organization of objects (I.E. a Chain Link fence appeared to be perfectly in order with the section of fence I viewed, no bends or slight curvature that I normally may pick up on such an object) as well as color enhancement but not as pronounced of the full visual overlay with distortions and morphing of say a 2ce or 2ct7.

2ci is less fluffy than 2cb, it usually has a more stimulating edge to it. I find at times that on 2ci I can be kind of mentally detached yet not disassociated, not unlike LSD in this regard. The detachment often seems to lead me to a fairly objective analytical headspace, often with an empathogenic undertone without being wrapped up in emotions like MDMA but less whimsical than 2cb. I haven't pushed the dose with 2ci as I have with some of the other 2cx's but it doesn't seem to have the grandiosity of 2ce, although I still find it can be revelatory, 2ci is more digitized and futuristic similar to 2cb in many respects. When it's really on, I find the music enhancement with 2ci is the best of the 2cx series, particularly with live music, but other times i can be very indecisive with what I want to listen to, even with bands I typically love on psychedelics.

Well, I'm not exactly sure how much 2C-E I dosed last night(probably within 40-60mg), but, while still peaking EXTREMELY HARD, I feel the need to state that 2C-E may have been the exact "rock" against which I needed to have my head smashed.

After reading GB's thoughts on 2C-I, I have a clearer picture of I vs. E. I just don't have such descriptive abilities, hence all the "amazing... far out... beautiful" qualifiers. Overall, more energetic and interactive, but less what I would call psychological. A let the good times roll substance, with just hints of the sacred.

 

that's what was going on with me on miprocin the one time i said music enhancement wasn't that good on it. too indecisive (and trying to please the whole group with my musical choices)

This would be my conclusion, as well. Having actually dosed ~40-50mg of 2C-I, on it's own, a few times, I can say that it's a nice chemical, but I've found it to be better when combined with something else, such as 2C-E or 2C-B(or maybe with a tryptamine?), to stretch/strengthen the dosages of each.

Still, it's a nice chemical, on it's own. It definitely won't put your balls to the wall like 2C-E though. lol

 

Speaking of 2C-E, I had an interesting and, obviously, one-sided conversation with a bird I was watching earlier.

I spoke, aloud(at least, I think I did. May have just been thinking very loudly), something along these lines:
"Bird...................did you know we're basically made up of the same shit? I'm just fortunate enough to have been born on a higher-level of the food chain. Of the two of us, I'm the only one with the physical abilities and the cognitive-functioning to intentionally and/or maliciously inflict harm upon the other. Regardless of what I see, regardless of what I am or what you are, regardless of what I can, but choose not to, do to you...........with all of our differences..............we are the same, and we are brothers, but I envy you. reality hopping. thats what i call it. Like falling into a hole and climbing out into another world. anyone else gets it? when i disappear and then reappear in an another dimension. Looks and tastes like the old one but there are small almost unnoticeable changes. happens every time after I drop. i notice the new world on the comedown. reality got altered.

I actually didn't really trip for them. I had been up all night after pretty lights that morning and I took 200mg MDA before Portugal which had the effect of leveling me out and giving me the energy to last through most of the day. I can't say it wasn't at least slightly psychedelic. I'm not sure if ill trip or not. I'm kind of ready for a long break from tripping and rolling.

 

Bump for another ~40-60mg of 2C-E last night. I spent most of the trip reclined in the car with the speakers blaring good music(good surround-sound in cars, so I was completely taken over by blissful synaesthesia), then I watched Moonrise Kingdom(strange movie). Then, when I thought the trip was basically over, with only very minor visuals remaining, I laid down for about 4 hours and tried to go to sleep, but strange images, in storyline succession, kept passing through my head, so sleep never came. I feel rested though, physically, but I feel mentally exhausted. lol Fortunately, I just ate 6 xanax bars approximately 30 minutes ago, so my mental exhaustion is fading. If I was smart, I'd go ahead and lie down and drift to sleep, while the xanax does it's job, but I wanna enjoy the relaxation for a while and start the third season of Dexter(been having a Dexter marathon lately, starting from the first episode. I plan to re-watch every season before the season 8 premiere at the end of the month).

As is ritual during ALL of my 2C-E trips, I listened to this song during my experience last night, and it still manages to take me to some crazy places. For me, this is THE song for 2C-E trips, when I'm alone in the dark, with eyes closed..........WOW!!! Never gets old:
