Please join my new forum, the Society For Change. It's great to talk about wanting things to be a certain way but wouldn't it be great if we actually DID something to move in that direction? Well that's the goal of my forums. And the more people that want to make a change, the more successful we'll be. I'm not talking huge changes. We can't move mountains - not yet anyway. That would be foolish, and overwhelming - to the point where we feel helpless. But as the saying goes (I think), the journey of 1000 miles begins with one step. We can build change bit by bit. Well I hope to see you at the forums. We have a few members but we need more!
I agree with you. Like Gandhi said "We must BECOME the change we WISH to see". I'll be sure to check out your forum.
MellowPsychedelia, in answer to your question, we want to see a return to people reconnecting and redeveloping tolerance and respect for one another. Enough of these petty battles we have with one another out on the sidewalk or on the bus or in the supermarket queue. We can't continue with this basic hate for one another much longer, I guarantee it! We also want to see a less materialistic society develop - no more robots! ie people who are blindly led by advertising, big corporations and the media, making them richer and ourselves into more debt than we've ever gotten into before. We also want Bush out in four years' time. We know it's impossible to go back to the 60s, and they weren't perfect either, but boy wouldn't it be nice to get some of those qualities back. In my opinion, all the ills in the world we complain about are interrelated. They all go back to the same basic problems. We are all in this world together. We are all the same species. So let's start behaving like it again. Shockw4ve hope to see you there and Goddess Om thanks for joining!
Agreed. For starters, let's emphasize cooperation instead of competition...the ramifications of such a simple shift would be enormous.....
i am gonna join too. I really want to see a change in the world. as said "even the smallest can change the world" (fellowship of the ring, i think...). anyway laters nova
