went barefoot to see their father
OR
as fathers themselves spent the day barefoot?

I failed on both fronts.

 

I was barefoot when opening the ceiling where my toilet flange leaked...smelled of raw sewage and the ceiling was molded...ripped it all apart

 

That's gross man! Sorry!

I went to my dads barefoot but they just live down the street.

 

My Dad is in California, while I live in the UK. However I spent the day barefoot with my son's father and wished his father a good day

My dad has passed but I spent a good part of the day barefoot.

 

I spent all of sunday and Monday barefoot. I lost my dad 13 years ago.

 

I was BF that day as always on the weekends (except during our family Father's Day bike ride), but didn't visit my own dad as he had a nasty contagious illness. So they came over to our house last night while I grilled out... again BF!
