What is a good natural toothpaste recipe?
I want to keep my teeth clean but don't want to use chemicals on my teeth.

    Thanks

you can mix 3 or 4 tablespoons of baking powder, with about a tablespoon of seasalt (can be table salt, but preferably sea salt). i usually put a drop or two of cinnamon essence or peppermint to cut down on the baking powder taste. Then slowly put about a tablespoon of water in, or until it forms a paste. I don't have a recipe, so the measurements may not be exact. It's just what I use because I'm allergic to the synthetic chemicals in toothpaste and other hygiene products

Baking soda is the main ingredient in normal toothpaste. But yeah, I have heard cum is good for cutting plaque, lol. But unless you wanna give head everyday, I advise a recipe

I've used nothing but baking soda and tea tree oil on my teeth for more than 20 years. My dad first taught me this back in the 60s, but the taste put me off. Now I tell people what my dad told me: you'll get used to it. I have had virtually no dental problems of any kind since I switched from commercial toothpaste. Prior to that I always had problems.

I also do oil-pulling, which helps to whiten the teeth and is good for the mouth.

Anything is better than FLOURIDE right??

I use TOMS (Propolis & Myrrh) toothpaste now but I was using a different one but stopped as it had this in it:

Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate - WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT DOING IN ANYTHING?? (Anything GLUTAMATE IS BAD (Think MSG)) and it said "Contact a poison control center if you swallow more than used for brushing" -- AND THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE SAFE?? (Must be the glutamate crap they are referring to right??)

Now im using TOMS and this has "Sodium lauryl sulfate" which I dont think is as bad as the other.....

I tell ya,its quite ironic that we have to worry about the crap thats in supposed "SAFE/NATURAL" toothpaste just to get away from flouride!!

I tell ya that might be the only SAFE OPTION!!!!!!!!

I just read that SODIUM LAURYL SULFATE is not good (Alot of toothpastes have this I guess)

    http://articles.***********/sites/articles/archive/2010/07/13/sodium-lauryl-sulfate.aspx

    and carrageenan also!

YOU DONT WANNA KNOW HOW PI$$ED I AM RIGHT NOW....... THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE SAFE AND NATURAL?????

NOTHING NATURAL ABOUT IT!!!!!! -- I swear if its not FLOURIDE its some other TOXIC CRAP!! [IMG]

As with any "drug" (notice how there are "drug information" on the tube) there are advantages and risks. Bad things happen if you overdose.
    I'll keep brushing my teeth....
