split ends

    going to be dreading my hair soon i've been growing it out for a while and not really neglecting it i wash and comb it etc but i havent gotten my split ends trimmed for a long time haha , will this effect my dreading process ? not the growth but when i actually go to dread it if it will have any effect on the locking process or anything - sorry if this has been asked a million times XD i searched and use the search function couldnt find anything on it

    I mean the split ends might break off, but you'd get them trimmed off anyways. I don't see that being something that would stop your hair from dreading and maturing

    I had loads of split ends when i dreaded my hair. if anything it just annoyed me, so if you want you can trim 'em off before dreading but only for that reason, i don't think it'll make much of a difference to the dreads
