Very sweet. I love Weddings...actually more than I love Marriage...It's the lace and flowers, I think. Be happy!
Yes, I've been to churches where the prayers and singing is done in Latin, but they still speak English or Spanish, depending where the church I've been to is. A church that exclusively speaks Latin is rare. Not that I'm a church goer, but I've been to numerous churches with family. Roman Catholicism is the official religion of Dominican Republic, I think I've only ever been to two churches that were something else. I don't remember what, they were definitely stranger.
Our priest told us that it was definately latin only. As far as when people are just having sermons I would imagine that would be in either english or spainish, cuz seriously, who the fuck speaks latin?
I asked her why she married me since im not baptised and we wont be in the afterlife together because I will be in Hell. I think she pretty much just called me an idiot
The Tridentine (Latin) Mass was dropped in 1960. The church stopped teaching Latin to its priests in 1967. In 2007 Pope Benedict instructed bishops to offer Latin masses if requested.
I'm the only one Christened in my house, so I like to joke that I am the only one going to heaven. I am also an athiest, so nobody is worried that I will ever go to heaven without them.
interesting.. what does cristened mean? is that where you get a champagne bottle broken over your head?
It would be if I was a ship. It's where you are blessed with holy water by a minister, usually as a baby. I'm Anglican, not Catholic.
