Strange but true?

How come I read various stories of nudist reporting no burn on the genitals in spite of being sunburnt, I'm mystified how does this work and why does it not happen down there but at the same time I hear stories of penis sunburn

Maybe this is because the parts you talk about are in the shadow of another prominent body part the most time ;-)

Or maybe those non-nudist fools who do tanning the first time in summer instead of taking it slow could account for the burns down there and deliberately

 

For many of us, our genitals are darker than the rest of our bodies, but if you are in the sun long enough, your genitals will burn. Not a good idea.

 

I always make sure I have high factor suncream on my genitals when sunbathing nude.

 

Do mind the chemicals that are on the label. Some things can be absorbed transdermally that could cause more health problems than a burn.

Some of the creams have zinc oxide, which provides a physical barrier to sun on the skin surface, which is safer than chemicals that get inside the skin.

I have had a sunburn, but never in those spots when I tan nude. Why?

 

That's what I wanna know, I've read numerous accounts of the strange occurrence

 

The only mechanisms that I know to protect the body from solar radiation:
1. Oil, produced in greater quantities on certain parts of the body than others. Do sebaceous glands in the genitals produce more protective oils? I think so.

2. Melanin. Most of us have darker skin on our genitals. The melanin there protects our skin from solar energy.

Maybe there are other factors. Does the rest of the body tend to block genitals from sunlight unless the angle is perfect for exposure?

Does pubic hair protect the genitals from sun? If you don't shave, I am sure that some people are protected by it, in some places.

Maybe something else?

 

This week has been Sunny in OILberta. When tanning at my secluded area, I tend to get a Boner or Semi Boner. This exposes more skin, so that when Flaccid, it looks MUCH Darker.

 

I have had genital sunburn often,especially after winter...it is sheer agony...and being cut as well makes it sheer hell...it feels like your glans penis is rubbing against sand paper,and when the peeling starts...its plain torture!

Nudist getting a sunburn every year? Yeah, I'd ban him for that!
