they're fun to make all you need is a crochet hook and some yarn, a little exploration on the youtubes and the dedication to make a bunch of mistakes at first and go really slow :biggrinjester:
i feel like i haven't shown the bleached ones off in a while I'm going to give them another dose soon and put some toner in them to hopefully make them go completely white. my step mom is actually going to teach me she gets tons of 100% cotton yarn from the thrift stores for cheap i was showing her some i wanted to make the other day. i can't even find any 100% cotton in store so i am looking forward to making some and finally having a couple nice cotton hats tailored to my own style =]
Here's another unreleased (I think?) pic of them as babies and a comparison to now. I think this picture is dated 2012/02/24 in the file name, which makes it about a year and 4 months old. I don't think the twisting ever really held at that age though so I didn't start counting months until early summer. including growth time before I started twisting them, it would make them about a year and a half old. I've never really been too sure on the exact time I "started" (whether that includes growth and twist/backcomb phase) them but this gives me a reasonable time frame. thank you I love ma curls.
I made my first tam I have yet to make the beaded headband that weaves through it, but I'm gonna put some cool blue skull beads on that xD edit - here it is with the drawstring thingy in it which is the same as the background (light blue/black) its gonna have skull beads in opposite colors coming off of it sorry for the bad pics its late no light
idk why it wont let me add another pic to the last post but here is a much better pic with some natural light on it
