The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 Movie Blurb by Shale November 16, 2012 It's been a full year since the first part of this movie ran, where Bella (Kristen Stewart) did an Avatar moment at the end with her eyes popping opening in the last scene, revealing her red eyes. I've been waiting for this final chapter and it was good. BTW, this blurb is only for ppl into this saga. If you haven't seen the past 4 movies, then go read something else because you wouldn't understand, perhaps like the aggregate movie critics on Rottentomatoes who only gave a 53% fresh on this movie as opposed to the 88% of audiences who knew going in that it would be enjoyable. The movie opens exactly where the last one ended, with Bella waking to her new life of heightened senses and strength. She is with Edward and the Cullen family, under their tutelage as a newborn. Bella is Back Watching Bella see the world for the first time thru a different set of senses was somewhat familiar with my own turning in 1970 In New Orleans, and seeing my surroundings for the first time with expanded senses that could broach the universe or get lost within one square meter of this planet. But, I digress. Bella is now stronger than her husband Edward (Robert Pattinson) with whom she can enjoy sex without injury (to herself). She is even stronger than Emmett (Kellan Lutz) whom she bests at arm wrestling. Such is the strength of a newborn as well as the thirst for blood as she is taken on her first hunt with Edward. Edward & Bella on Her First Hunt All is going well and the anomaly child, Renesme is growing exponentially. As you recall, Bella was going thru the throes of turning as Jacob (Taylor Lautner) was imprinting on her baby. When she finds the close relationship they share she is furious and uses her newborn strength to do a protective mama number on him. But eventually things mellow out and Edward, Jacob and Bella form an extended family with the rest of the Cullens. Bella, Renesme, Edward & Uncle Jake However, the Volturi are concerned that Renesme (Mackenzie Foy) could be a threat and are coming to wipe out the Cullen clan. The Cullens go around the world showing the child to other vampire friends to witness that there is no threat. But Aro (Michael Sheen) still brings his army of vampires to confront the Cullens and by this time a growing number of werewolves and other vampires stand with the Cullens. Jacob, Bella, Renesme & Edward Prepare for Battle This movie had a few emotional moments as well as the usual teen satisfying PG-13 romantic scenes. The whole movie series was designed for teen girls and young women (and a few old men who can tap into those emotions). It was an enjoyable experience - tho sad that it has now come to an end. To let fans down easily, the end credits had a montage appearance of all the actors who were in each of the movies.
Of course I plan to see this movie again in theater and will get the DVD to add to the other four. After so many years and movies I feel a connection with the characters and as with any drama that is ending a sadness at leaving them. However, being a lusty pornografer who often writes erotic stories, I could not help but fill in the R-rated blanks that were left out of the bedroom scene in Part 1. I wrote an erotic fan fiction piece, explaining the nuptial bed scene in this movie. I loved the books but the films were poor. I will say though that the last film was probably the best as it was the least yawn worthy. Kirsten's acting was also marginally better.
