    What is a candy housewife?

I mean it sounds like you would rather sit around eating bon bons and watching soaps, instead of cooking and cleaning ;)

I second the "aquarium or safari park" sentiment.

he'll probably like the safari park, and it sounds pretty easy to get to. that's a big consideration.

so if you and your husband don't care either way, maybe ask him which one he wants to go to.

yea seriously. mine sometimes reminds me of a wild animal esp. when he's in the house for a while.. just climbing on everything, going crazy... haha soo much energy.
my husband's work is doing this hershey park day in aug. for employees and their sig. other plus any kids... get in for free and they grill lunch. was thinking of us all going but after seeing how he was at the kid's amusement park, which is NOT crowded... not really lines etc... im thinking we are either not gonna go or maybe get a babysitter n just me n hubby go. lol.

THAT seems... the opposite of fun.

yea out of those i am thinking aquarium for sure. sucks that it is $30 a person tho because I know we would also have to pay for gas and lunch and who knows what else around inner harbor... so maybe maybe not... still thinking...lol

yea... actually now i am thinking lake tobias. probably. it is def the closest (about 45 min drive) and it's cheaper and a less stressful drive and yeah.. i was looking on their site today and saw the menu, including buffalo burgers- i was thinking "wow.. yummy... i want one" (and it's not expensive either) and i love petting zoos. (altho last time i took my son to this little one around here we literally saw one llama mount another llama and start going at it.. i was like..ewww geez... let's go...- 2 mins before then we saw the (huge, obnoxious) geese start literally eating the shit that one of the llamas pooped out. D was like "maybe that's why they're called water fowls." yuck. newaaay.. bit disturbing that petting zoo but neways).... lake tobias is sounding good. less expensive than the aquarium which is prolly what'll determine it for me right now.

oh and i did show case pics online today of both the animals at lake tobias and the fish and dolphins at the aquarium... he was really liking all of them. maybe the dolphins the most... but... too bad. lol :)

That was the question I had for you.

As for preferring the spa/book in bed option, well, it's mothers' day. My baby is my life, but sometimes I need a break. And my house is very clean, thank you. I make my husband his lunch daily, and whenever he wants dinner, it's there. I don't believe I have ever eaten a bon bon, and we do not have tv, so obviously I'm not watching soaps.

fuck the aquarium then, just go to the fucking safari park. I'm sure the kid will love it, and if he doesn't it's not a big deal because you only spent 7 bucks and didn't have to drive too far.

there's always a chance that an outing ends up as a disaster, so unless one choice is clearly superior, go with the minimum risk

I looked at some Lake Tobias videos on YouTube and I gotta say, I'm surprised.

It was nothing like that the last time I went there...about 20 years ago.
Then it was more mom and pop. Just a concession stand, the bus ride and about 10 small cages of bears and stuff.

Looks very nice now. A lot more animals.

Hehe, yep, that is exactly what I'm thinking. I woke up today thinking "Going to Lake Tobias (the safari park) either Sat or Sun" and "can't wait to eat a buffalo burger" =D

And yes, out of the 3 I listed it's def the cheapest w the least risk and least annoyances. =)

You know... that sounds like a good idea (for some time, not necc. this w.end) but he would love that.. it doesn't take much to make him happy =)

(but yea since it is mother's day w.end I think still gonna hit up the safari park cause I wanna go somewhere)

Meagain- Yeah, well, I was last at Lake Tobias about...20 years ago. So it's a lot diff huh? I can check out some of the youtube clips myself. Hadn't even thought of that.

my ex got her 2 yr old niece a toy for her birthday. Once she opened it she started playing with the box and actually had more fun playing with the box then the actual toy.

I would do the Safari Park. I actually recently found out about Lake Tobias, just this week. Groupon maybe? And thought it'd be a cool place to take Sophia.

I took her to the aquarium for her 3rd birthday and she had a lot of fun. We went to the Adventure Aquarium and that one is kinda lame, but they have some hammerheads!

We're going out to brunch on Sunday and then to Longwood Gardens. It has become one of our favorite places around here.

Have to agree as my two played with boxes as much as the new toys that came in them. :)

Was great at times as it gave us enough time to build the crazy toy and they were amused.
