Yeah a big one and we also used alot of their parts at first and copied them. The no steering shaft, Only a black box, I have seen it fail a couple times. But I guess dangerous is a little far for most cases.

But that's two out of many and most fail on start-up. It can be a pain to track down a short in a million wires it seems lol. Oh well, Soon all will be a complete sensor.

Yeah you're right about start up. TAC systems is one of my least favorite problems to deal with because they are so intermittent. Especially on 6.0L gm like denalis and escalades. Pain in the ass. You have 2 sensors on the gas pedal, 2 sensors on the throttle body, the TAC module, wiring, and the pcm. And it acts up only when it wants and doesn't store codes or freeze frame. Wtf kinda mess is that.

I usually just explain that to the customer, replace the connector and pigtail at the throttle body and tell them to come back if it fucks up again. 9 out of 10 times it's fine. But that 1 time makes me hate my life lol.

I too love old volvos. The new ones fall apart, but they are still the best european cars to work on IMO.

I used to have a '90 stationwageon, thing was solid as a rock, rear wheel drive too. cosmetically, not so much, and it had developed some electrical issues with the turn signals after some tweakers fucked with it...a bunch of relays can be confusing as fuck, even to an electrician if you don't have a schematic.

Anyone notice how they are treated differently in different cars?
Or do u treat different car drivers differently/ assume they are a particular "type" of person?

For instance, Merc drivers - arrogant road manners.
BMW - bad drivers (ok that prob incs me).
Customised Peugot/ Citroen - just annoy u with loud and shit music
    etc etc
    Porsche drivers... yukkk...!

I've noticed one car I went round in was able to conjure up pure hate (which was good fun!)
Another one, I think some people assumed I was carrying round loads of coke/ dead bodies.
