So, yeah, KEPT hearing about that song/dance... but was on a tv, internet, etc block for a year so never actually heard the song or saw the dance... however, since I've recently crawled out from under my rock (the newest installation of that being that today the cable guy came out and actually fixed the digital box for the tv that wasn't working-therefore today I was actually able to check on demand and wow.. the sheer MASS of the shows.. both for adults and the awesome nick jr kids shows and nursery rhyme raps and other things for Cason... plus the free movies w some actual decent ones and the karioke-kids and adults and the music, in which I'm shocked actually that I've actually found things, in diff genres even, that I like...)- I was able to go on demand and click on that and watch it and I love it. Haha.. seriously all that two feet hopping and stepping is how I've been dancing (kinda like anyways) to gabba songs anyways, but anyways... yeah, it was fun to dance around to that. Amusing and fun to me anyways. =)
I'll answer that w.out being defensive. =) In all seriousness, no and espiecially not when used as a babysitter all the time. However, I stay at home w my son and take him outside- to parks and stuff and just other things like kicking a ball around or using sidewalk chalk every day... plus i paint with him, color with him, play with play doh and puzzles w him... read to him... and just do all kinds of either silly/fun things and/or educational things... and my son didnt even have tv til last week. he has some yo gabba gabba videos which have taught him a lot about instruments and that dancing is fun and some sesame street and leap frog videos... anyways, if im with my son for oh...let's see...12 waking hours a day (all his waking hours) and he watches an hour or two (tops) of tv or video a day (stuff for kids only.. in my presence) then im not beating myself up over it. (or for example with the baby boost option on there how they have short nursery rhyme things you can play- about 4 to 15 mins. long... if i have to leave the room for a cpl mins to check dinner that im cooking or something and don't want him freaking out cause im not playing with him for five mins., then i use it for that, but by all means, i dont have him sitting around watching tv all the time) yes, too much tv for a toddler is bad and some shows just aren't good for them. but i feel i do enuf other stuff w him that if he feels like watching a gabba video or sesame street or syd the science kid or something else for a little bit not even every day... shrugs. do you have kids btw? (im just curious if you do how old n if they watch or watched tv and at what age?
haha gangnam style is def. silly... but i like silly things. i really think case's yo gabba vids did that to me. put some silly dance thing on that i know is goofy n i didnt say it was GOOD... i said it was fun. i like ridiculous things. =)
yes i have kids...all raised up already....i fucked up and them watch tv too young and too much my 3 grand kids dont have a tv....they dont know who gabba gabba is...they dont know about dora the explorer is etc they have remarkable imaginations and artistic skills....they know the names of every plant on our property..they all take music lessons...they all love books....they resolve their own disputes....they make friends easiy thank you for not being defensive..i tried to ask in a non accusatory way.. kids or moms dont need tv....ive read your other threads...you are totally capable of filling that time with a more constructive activity put that cable money towards something else i wil say this....walt dysney doesnt actually care about your kid...they care that you spend money on your kid and will do anything include damage your kid in order to get yer dough
I never seen the original video clip and the song in it's entirely but it has been mentioned in a lot of other places and also tv shows. So I saw (and heard) an excerpt of the video and song more than once. In fact I think I can almost pull off the dance that goes with the song. It's hard to imagine someone else has never saw or heard at least an excerpt of this song It's really almost impossible
Totally possible. I don't own a computer (and never have), so I don't do very much online. The only TV I watch is a select few shows on Netflix, and that's a recent development. All I know about it is its some sort of dance accompanied by a song. And that's thanks to this thread.

Haha! Thats the only song I can dance to! Its so stupid but fun when you've had more than a few shots.
Oh I laughed so hard the first time I saw 'Gangham Style' and yes I rather like the video and I enjoy doing the dance!! It's just pure silliness! On the other hand my husband fails to see the humour. I will add that after all the notoriety I should be totally sickened by the song - but somehow I'm not.
Haha nope. I have no interest. And now that I now I'm considered an outcast because I haven't watched it, I'm going to make it a point to keep it that way. A couple weeks ago I heard a Justin Beiber song for the first time. I told a friend I haven't heard any of his shit and she played a song while we were in her car.....no way out. I was dissapointed to end the streak
Fair play to him and the promoters for generating millions of dollars for him and the promoters. It isn't actually harming anybody. And, he seems a decent enough chap. I have to say, I can't listen to the whole thing, though. I might be a bit of a fun sponge - but It's just not my thing.
