curious if anyone goes here

to the IMDB forums. Anyone else see the spam and trolls that show up there? members tell me to ignore. but its hard when i see so much crap on it. so i wanted to get your take on that place as well. I know one thing, i dont advise anyone to join that place!

Yes I do go on IMDB if I want to read the plot for a movie or if I have questions about it.
By forums do you mean the part at the bottom where people ask questions about a specific movie scene?

Or are there actual general forums for that site?

i only occasionally go on imdb, but only to look at actors and see what they've done. the rottentomatoes metacritic system is pretty much the only quantified film criticism thing i even vaguely take seriously, and even then it isn't any substitute.

i don't really use any other forums than this, tbh.

 

On spam , I see it on several of the boards that I am a member . On trolls , I only see them hear . With some of the forums , they vairfy a valid email address , that cuts down on spam and trolls . yeah, i didn't even realize they had forums there either. i rarely ever use IMBD, only for movies so obscure that they don't even have a wikipedia page.

 

I think I am sticking with that site for quotes only.
