    What does privatized mean exactly.
I think we should all get good drinking water clean,
because it is healthy and we need it to survive.

Water should never be privatized... that's a resource that everybody should be entitled to.

That's the most ridiculous thing I've seen all day.

As for water privitization, it's coming...quuick. We watched a documentary on netflic not too long ago about it. It had that uber conservative with the handelbar mustache, t boones pickens, and he's bought up a bunch of land because of the water reserves underneath the ground. Us law says anything under the ground on your property is yours. It's coming, and fast. Water will be as much as oil before you know it.

The idea is to privatize water that way they can poison the water the rest of us get and make us sick. If we want the good water we'll have to pay for it. Greedy bastards! Everyone should get really good at filtering technologys.

Wow, do we take water for granted here in NY / NJ where rainfall is plentiful and supplies seemingly safe; even with big populations and big consumption.

As to The water level, it has already dropped considerably from Colonial times. ....Visited a 250 yr. old water mill at Phillipsburg Manor, Westchester, NY. the docent pointed out that the wheel had been a breast-wheel prior to The American Revolution and now it is structured as an under-shot wheel. a big drop in water level.

Here in The Pine Barrens, folk speak of huge water reserves deep underground. A condo community dried up a small stream with pumping to water the lawn. Government is offering a tax incentive to rip-out a lawn and install a pebble lawn to encourage water conservation.

The utilities own the water and can restrict canoeing and fishing and skinny dipping in the reservoir. They put copper-sulfate in the reservoir to curb algal growth. The complaint is that lawn fertilizer and pesticides are polluting the reservoir and ruining Barnegat Bay.

Remembering when I lived in Flushing, we paid a flat-rate for water use. A neighbor had a pool and thought to save money on filtering and chemicals by just letting the hose run into the pool all the time leaving a stream running down the driveway, into the street; for this reason I support paying for the water you use.

How about just fining those who abuse it and leaving the rest of us to enjoy the water fairly. Why does everyone need to be punished? Water is a commodity that has been on this planet since the biggining of human evolution, who's right is it exactly to say this is mine now and you'll have to pay me for it? They want to start taxing us for how much we breathe too!

That sucks but it just goes to show how far they are pushing this. I've heard of poeple getting arrested for collecting rainwater.

    Water is already 'privatised' .

    Definition of 'Commodity'

    1. A basic good used in commerce that is interchangeable with other commodities of the same type. Commodities are most often used as inputs in the production of other goods or services. The quality of a given commodity may differ slightly, but it is essentially uniform across producers. When they are traded on an exchange, commodities must also meet specified minimum standards, also known as a basis grade.

If water is privatized there must be an immediate and ferocious rebellion. We cannot allow this kind of thing. Absolutely unacceptable, these people are the definition of evil.

To be clear: not all water is privatised. The stuff that comes out of your tap is. Which if you read the thread seems to be what the chap in the OP video was trying to say (badly).

Tap water is full of all kinds of chemical that are toxic for the body. Are they trying to kill us? Probably....
