I really like the look of strapless, but I fear that they would just slip off of me due to my lack of boobage.
I like your dresses too Piaf. I am with you Meliai, I would be uncomfortable as well with a whole bunch of people there. Charles will most likely never ask me to marry him, but if he did I would definitely want a small wedding. I love the head piece on that first picture Kinky_Ramona!
I love it, too, but something that style won't match with the actual style of my wedding, so I've got a big white flower to pin up in my hair and if I can find some material to make a birdcage style veil, that's what I'm going to do.
http://www.google.com/search?q=eleg...AQ&biw=320&bih=356#biv=i|13;d|xxbbV3NjKTRHFM: Here's a link. I can't get the image to save on my phone. My actual wedding dress was a disaster.
Lol. I think you want something that doesn't exist mayne. Weddings are like the absolute most important thing in life to most women. The best you can hope for is one that wants a small one like some have mentioned, rather than some $20k hallmark card one.
^^^Good god, give those girls a sandwich or something, the bottom one looks like she's about to pass out!
Was just checking up on the latest, dont know about non white for any wedding dress, but thought this was very goth
I don't want to get married. If I did ever get married I wouldn't spend much at all, I'd rather spend my money on travelling or something.
No I'm sorry I cannot... I get banned for telling people to fuck off though, guess you get a pass cuz yer a chicky chick. :daisy:
My black dress got a lot of positive comments, but I know that sort of thing isn't for everybody. A guy doesn't have to marry "most women", just one.
I don't know about a two day bender but if I ever get married I am definitely spending the majority of the budget on an open bar and a cool reception party. No one ever wants to attend a wedding for the actual wedding. It's all about the open bar and the party. Actually I would spend the majority of the budget on an amazing honeymoon.
Lucky you! Those are extremely rare around here. Most North Carolina wedding receptions serve punch only, and the music is religious or classical.
ditto, I'm just south of the border in SC. Most of my friends aren't very religious so I think thats why I've been to several weddings with open bars. My cousin had an amazing beachside wedding with an open bar reception and my best friend had a backyard wedding with my other best friend slinging drinks all night. Another friend of mine just rented a really cool bar/venue in town and had live music and dancing - the guests had to pay for their own drinks but I don't think anyone really minded. I've definitely attended more low key religious weddings where you leave the chapel and walk to the activity hall and drink punch for a couple of hours. I won't even attend weddings like that anymore - I don't know if that makes me a horrible person lol but I find wedding receptions to be really awkward without a bit of social lubrication. naturally!
I have never been at a wedding where there wasn't an open bar. Maybe its a cultural think, but it's kind of even unthinkable here. You want to please your guests, get them drunk and don't want them to think you're cheap :-D There are endless amounts of food and drinks at weddings here, not having an open bar would be so embarrasing here.
On the topic of weddings. I was a guest in a university lecture about Chinese factory girls where they showed a documentary about marriage and weddings in rural China.. This particular girl was getting married in the traditional red dress. There is no big ceremony other than the exchange of gifts or dowry between the families. The gifts were in this case a few thousand cigarettes from the groom's family and some old furniture from the bride's..family members show up in their everyday clothes on the wedding. Quite interesting, but kinda sad.
