My friend found this plant, and he was told its a powerful psychedelic from a trustworthy source. We do not know the name, nor have done any prior research to this. Please tell us what this is and if it is legit or not.

Ha that looks like jimson weed, or datura, which yes is powerfully psychedelic. Some people have smoked it and been committed lol
And I've seen it growing naturally all over the place in these parts.
People compare it to a diphenhydramine trip, and generally start with three seeds.

 

Yes, my friend found this growing in the clearwater area naturally, but he said its rare, and has only seen this plant one other time.

Nah , you can even make tea out of it or smoke the plant itself, I think the whole thing is psychoactive. I haven't had the balls to try another dissociative type trip, maybe if I find another one this summer ill give it a go. There's a lot of info about it online, do a search.

 

I've read some real horror stories on Erowid about Datura. My advice is stay away from it and find yourself some shrooms.

you have a castor oil plant.. ITs not a datura. the seed pods on a datura are not that close together. trust me.
Castor oil plant. you can make Sarin Nerve agents with it. It can not get you high..

Good call Orison, and I was just researching that plant due to the PGPR that they make from it to replace with coco oils in chocolate.. Yes the jimson weeds I've seen grow up like a stalk then have 3-5 pods on it.
Also has flowers...

I was going to say, if that's jimson weed then you have one helluva find with all those pods and whatnot lol

 

castor likes to grow close to the ground too. a bitch stepping on the barefoot. they cluster group and fall down. I hate them.

We had caster bean plants in our back yard in San Antonio, Texas and in good soil they'll grow to over 6 feet tall.

Don't take it, it's not psychedelic in any other than that of a poison. Datura will kill your ass, or castor oil will make you puke, and kill you if it gets in your bloodstream.

Unless you're having your eyes dilated, or you need a nerve agent antidote, they're poison. A few seeds over a recreational dose is a lethal dose. And the recreational dose is not very recreational either.

Scopolamine (hyoscine): Prevents nausea and vomiting caused by motion sickness or anesthesia and surgery in adults.

Ok ok I see what you're getting at, but I've read some glowing trip reports...
I've also read people taking ten or more seeds and just becoming unconscious for awhile.
