I was getting interested about trying mescaline in a music festival, already did lsd few times and also mdma and weed. I have a few questions about the trip - 1.how visual does it get in normal dose compare to acid drop? 2.is it really that long trip? (12-24 hours) will I be aware to take care of myself? 3.you find that trip good for festival who's well crowded? have a nice trip
All my experiences with mescaline have been via San Pedro cacti, except for one low dose mescaline extract. The normal doses I've taken are slightly more visual than MDMA with open eye visuals. Stuff doesn't bend and warp in the focal point of your vision like acid really, its primarily intense color enhancement with some peripheral hallucinations, Edges look extremely defined, the closed eye visuals are very interesting, often very vivid forms and aztec looking structure . One thing I've noticed about mescaline tho is tends to produce more auditory hallucinations. Higher doses have some pretty wild visuals, objects still rarely break form but the hallucinations appear within the object and sort of elicit some strange connections with the free flowing mescaline mind. So for instance, I've looked at a handrail for stairs and the rail seemed to have a snake spirit , I've looked at cars on a freeway and they made me think of like The Jetsons cartoon space crafts, I've never had the primary effects of mescaline VIA San Pedro last more than 12 hours. There can be an afterglow that persists into the next day though. Erowid lists the primary effects of isolated mescaline at 4-8 hours I believe. Aside from nausea, its a trip that's fairly easy to handle but don't mistake me as saying its not powerful. It's never appealed to me to take at a festival or rave but part if that may be due to primarily exploring it via cacti. Music sounds amazing at some points on mescaline but I usually like to lay down and listen to it as it induces some nausea. Sometimes music can sound weird in an undesirable way on it and i enjoy the auditory affects in my enviornment as well, so I usually don't spend too much time listening to music on mescaline.
what dose did you took ? I didn't get it, the colors is more visual than mdma which is nice to hear, but you have "aztec looking structure", sounded like this is more intense hallucinations the than one drop of lsd. (few drops are really out of space visuals) I hope you can clarify this subject. That's interesting thing you said, in what way do you find it more easy to handle? I really like music while tripping, (as far as I know) but depending on your answer I think the best is to avoid consuming mescaline in crowded place and stay with lsd for the festival and try mescaline when at home or at the beach and etc right? thanks for your help
I've explored 1 foot of cacti up to 3 feet... 2 feet is about on par with 100 ugs of LSD visually with a clearer headspace. I haven't taken LSD below that dose range, those aztec structures with mescaline are with closed eyes and they come on in a very graceful, blossoming, accessible way. LSD closed eye visuals are usually more like surging, twisting, morphing patterns that can be relentless at times, so I view LSD CEV's as more intense. The headspace on mescaline is not as mindfucky in the way acid is, mescaline is more whimsical and sensual, similar to MDMA. I'd reccommend an initial mescaline trip in a low key enviornment, maybe some of it spent in nature and see how you respond to it and then you can decide if its something you want to explore in a festival enviornment for a subsequent trip.
You would need to have stellar relationships to find mescaline at a festival. Few people with this rare and magical substance would be selling to random people at a fest.
