A new name for the trolls

The posts being made by some one , are being made by some one that is intelligent , they are good at writing . After reading a few of them , and thinking on it , the name " troll " is entirely the wrong name . We need a new name . I just cant think of the correct name .

I can see what you are getting at ..... but I still think troll is good and adequate.

 

I think you are placing too much intelligence on the trolls we have now...

I have used the tern , post and split , others , "one post wounder " Many of them are just one post , some of them make follow up posts , so I dont know if that fits . I dont know if the person making the post has the problem they discribe , but some one else may , some one that might not ever join a forum and make a post , so that other shy person could be helped by any advice given . There may not be a universal , one size fits all term for this kind of post.

what does intelligence have to do with the "troll" name? i'm pretty sure it is based off the verb "trolling," as in fishing for responses, rather than the under-the-bridge monster.

even if it was the monster, i'm not sure that said monster is by definition unintelligent.

 

If I recall right (I don't know the actual lore, but was once lectured, maybe twice, once by my real life friend and once in world chat) nelfs are actually mutated trolls. And trolls are reasonably smart and cunning, but they have more primal smarts. Nelfs are more like japan meets harvard.

So, I propose that edu-micated trolls be called "nelfs" (night elves) from here on out.

There are some professorial trolls but trolls just the same.

Hey, trolls are pretty cool too. I mean, the darkspear trolls. But maybe I just think they're cool because of their allegiance to the horde. Trolls at large are very clever and magically talented, but tend to be a bit.... evil. But still cool. You can't help but think, the troll capitals are just about as impressive as the alliance and horde capitals, and some are much more impressive. Zul'aman and Zul'gurub, specifically.

 

lines and the falling in and out of them, are not particularly hip. not ever have been when hip was hip. but then i don't suppose anyone really gives a rat about that either.

as for maturity, the lack of it, generally in the form of the lack of consideration, is the cause of everything bitched about, and thus supposedly undesired.
