I am about to awaken a very old thread but it is relivant! Are people still using Dr Bronners? I have been using knottyboy peppermint but this winter I have had flakes and scalp issues, big time. I have the almond dr bronners, sitting in front of me. Respect!
I just use a cheap tea tree shampoo, does the job! but I've never tried another so i don't feel i can vote
I use California Baby Tea Tree and Lavendar Shampoo and Body Wash with a couple drops of peppermint essential oil. Seems really expensive for a tiny bottle which it is but I dilute it as it is concentrated. I alternate washing my dreads with this shampoo and washing them with BS/ACV every week or two.
cus i want a face to put to the name and hair plus what I've seen from your side of head and neck you look like you'd be mixed race and pretty and i like mixed race and pretty. just to clarify I'm not gay i just like specimens of hybrid vigour heheh
a lush store just opened in my town round the corner from my house but i can't afford to spend that much on some shampoo
yeah, its an investment. lasts for quite a while though and its better for you/your skin. id rather pay more for good stuff that lasts ages and doesnt give me a rash!
I am not mixed....but thank you? People think I look mix all the time, it's pretty weird because I don't think I look mix at all. Anyways @ SmellyD, the Lush store near my town kind of sucks, just the location though,...I do however love the rockstar soap and a product they used to carry but discontinued.
Fair enough. everyones mixed race though i suppose, just some more than others like me lol. though I'm someone who might not look mixed race if you didn't know, so what really is mixed?
I just started using this: http://www.lushusa.com/Seanik/02164,en_US,pd.html?start=3&cgid=liquid-shampoos I noticed most of the ingredients are the same as the commercially available dread tighteners. I also noticed that it rinses better than most of the other shampoos that I've used. My girlfriend picked it up for me and the sales girl said that it was the shampoo that her boyfriend uses on his dreads. C/S, Rev J
i just ran out of shampoo for the first time i had the knotty boy residue free bar shampoo... i think im going to check out Dr. bronners liquid this time... the bar stuff is too hard to get a lot of it all over when they start getting longer i feel like the liquid will help more evenly disperse it and get up in the roots and on my scalp. correct me if im wrong but doesnt all the tea tree shampoo stuff kind of condition hair instead of dry it out? does tea tree help the scalp for minor dandruff and itchies?
I use water maybe once in a while (like after a very hot week or something) I use baking soda & water ..
Baking Soda Here, Works To Perfection, No Itch, No Oilyness, No Dandruff, No Dry Scalp, Can't Do Any Better Than That...:2thumbsup: Cheers Glen.
Baking Soda in water is the shit. Or liquid Bronners, just a little drop and I lather it up in my fingers and then massage my scalp. The peppermint feels good...
T-gel or when i can afford the splurg, Lush Big. I wish the bi-carb didn't soften my hair so much or I'd be using it.
