I have only done lsd once and that was in combination with 5-apb but it was at my place, didn't go outside. Would it be unwise to take lsd then go to the cinema and watch a movie?
If you had a designated driver that understood from the outset that you may not make it all the way through or like a short walk from the theater to a safe location as a way out than I'd say it'd be alright if that's what you wanted to do. I don't think I could stand to be confined in a movie theater and sit through an entire movie on acid but it may effect you differently.
It's a bad idea. I did 2C-E at a movie on opening night. Nothing bad happened, I just felt incredibly bored sitting in a chair staring at a screen for nearly 2 hours. Do it when you have a little more freedom imo.
i would not do that for your 2nd time ever on LSD. though, i went to the theater to see grandma's boy on LSD...it was hilarious. but i was already experienced with LSD trips at that time. and honestly, staring at the dirt on LSD can be every bit as entertaining. i'd sort of consider it a "waste" to dose and then go to the movies.
I agree with the previous posters, seems a waste, not necessarily the LSD because for some people it could be a good time but more of a waste of money because chances are 30 minutes in you're going to want to leave.
Ofcourse there can be positive stuff to grab from experience yet indoors in a crowded area like that not really setting for lsd or maybe you can take half with some mj hehe also good munchies lol
Girl friend and I went to the little theater in Captain Cook on the big island of Hawaii in '74, baked on window pane and saw 'Song of The South". Was amazing. Came out with gigantic smiles and had to walk through a line of "mokes" that were super up tight and staring at us with what looked like intent to kill!. The vibes coming off them were truly scary and they followed us in their vehicle down the hill. Not pleasant to think of a rumble while peaking out. But we lived. --------(just a little story about things that can go wrong). Just be able to safely leave with your guide if it gets to be overwhelming.
I did it my first time ever on acid, but that was because I had no idea what I was getting into. I survived the night, but only because friends were taking care of me. I wouldn't ever do it again the movie part is GREAT, nothing beats that kind of surround sound experience. it's the getting there and the leaving that's the problem.
Many people have taken LSD and had a profound spiritual experience and/or profound revelations about self, relationships, and so on. Sometimes these are life-changing. Going to a movie, watching TV, playing video games, and so on pretty much guarantees a superficial trip - which is fine, but there is a lot more to it.
Of all movies . . . Cloverfield lol. A first person shot movie about a city being destroyed by a monster. I thought it was real at times.
I've done that a few times, but only after about six hours had passed. I saw a couple of the Batman films in that state, but I must say, I remember enjoying them but I can't remember any of it.
yeah i saw that movie (at home, not tripping) kinda similar to when i took 2cb at saw Contagion at the theater. i was convinced at some points that i was getting sick. then we went to pet smart and i cried about the homeless kitties.
IME the best settings for movies are... A movie you're really into and want to trip to, drop then start the movie about one hour in and stay home. Going out to a theater, wait until an hour or two past the peak and go to the theater to watch during the comedown and reentry. And don't drive.
First time tripping ever, I went to Rocky Horror Picture Show at midnight. I had no idea what to expect at the movie (from the audience/performers) and had no idea what to expect from mushrooms. It was fun watching the spectacle of the movie and the audience participation, but I remember getting outside the theater, and it was misting out. I felt so happy to finally be outside. It was such a feeling of relief. The rest of the night was the best part of the trip.
Yeah, idk if it's such a good idea to trip in a movie theater. Though it could be a wild experience... with the huge screen in front of you and surround sound. When tripping at home and there's a movie or something television, I usually lose track of whats going. Sometimes something will catch my eye on the television for a few minutes or so because it looks amazing or trips me out. However, I get easily distracted by how amazing everything around me looks/feels..along with all the breathing walls, etc :sunny: I feel like you will want to be free and run around, stare at paintings, walls...be outside in nature.. lay down...draw something...etc I feel like being confined to a movie theater would drive me wild haha I can't even fathom what that must have been like haha :willy_nilly:
I have friends who like to take shrooms and go to the theater, that sounds awful to me, but what can I say? Honestly, I just suggest getting some edibles, MJ is like the best movie drug, and edibles can get you super high and last nearly as long as a trip!! I think movies can be fine on a trip, but like others are saying, you're probably going to want to leave, I get bored or fascinated by something else and want to explore. Why not have a safe place to watch some movie and be able to stop whenever you want?
Agreed MJ is the best movie drug...:sifone: I saw 'The Wall" at a premier theater while tripping on 'srooms. The movie is barely watchable to begin with, but tripping it was an absolute chore to pay attention to, and the 5-channel dolby surround was fucked up technically so the music alternately had parts missing, odd hammond jutting out here and there, etc.. It was a let-down from listening to the Album on acid...(and I don't recommend that tripping either BTW, the wall is a profound enough masterpiece as it is) really made me pissed and uncomfortable. ...anyway no, tripping in a theatre full of people wouldn't be a good suggestion for your second time. Go out in nature, thats where the best trips occur. leave electronic devices at home too.
