How about helping me spiritually grow? I have a vision of beginning a community organic farm. I am currently employed as an environmental educator until June 2005. At that time I am hoping to find work at an organic farm so I can learn as much as possible about sustainability. I also am hoping to learn more about the construction of ecohousing. I have been job searching lately, hoping to find a way to harmonize work and personal life. I have small bills which have to be paid monthly (about $300) and an additional ($400) every 6 months, so I have to find paying work or I would just volunteer at a farm for the experience. I have considered joining an intentional community farm already in operation and searching employment in a nearby town if necessary. I am hoping someone out there reading this knows how to help this dream to fruition. I am a single 25 year old woman with determination and I know I can make this happen! So rise to the call of helping dreams come true! If you have some wisdom to pass along to me, Id appreciate it! Info on available organic jobs and intentional community opportunities in or after June 2005 most welcome! Love to each and everyone of you!
have you looked into what we are starting? www.co-operativeeffort.com there are 3 towns the same distance away from our property. look them up if you want; oroville, paradise, and chico, california. the local community college has organic production and it is only 15 miles from the property. it is www.butte.edu we will be producing organic veggies and some fruit tree crops and are doing the whole intentional community thing with cohousing as well, we are set to start building in a couple more weeks, so by the time you come we will be more set up. at that same time i have someone from florida coming and with him i am going to pool our knowledge about growing fungus and grow legal mushrooms(edibles) for sale and sustenance as well. anyway, look us up and if you want to take part, we would love to have you, and if you looked at our site before look again, we have changed it up a bit. all our love
Well lady, Not trying to sound smart alecky - but in this communal forum there are about an easy half dozen communities in the making; any and all would probably be happy to have you grace their attempt. Bee rain and Ken and owl and co. up in Ne. ; Fred at NWR has his finger in 4 attempts at present and is looking for more; my own attempt in the finger lakes region of NY; Will has one starting in Maine ; Rabbit directed you to his attempt. I'm sure I'm leaving out some - oh yeah dessert Dave... and these are just the ones still currently posting herein - over the 3 years I've moderated this forum more than a dozen attempts have died on the vine for lack of people showing interest. Sooo... yeah we're out there - take your pick - ask questions about each one ... I myself do not try to recruit - I leave it to people to show interest and ask questions and come visit - but each does things their own way. Blessings to you along your Way

heya cadcruzer, just gotta read this forum (communal living) - when you are on the page that shows all the threads , notice that on the bottom it lists other pages. Now pretty soon they're gonna archive this last year so don't dally too long (think you have to be a supporter to access the archives). Going back you may even find a few more - should you feel like you have the time to go back and read - I know I don't - sorry - iffn you do feel free to post links. Most of us put in links on more than 1 thread - they are there - good luck and happy reading Blessings on your Way
Our property is in the foothills. Did you check out our site? www.co-operativeeffort.com there is a little more info there and also some pics. Hope this helps and email us thru our e-mail link on our site if you want to keep in touch. All our respect---Rabbit
How many acres are you guys working with? How is your soil? Water? Do you have any buildings already on the property? I saw some white structure in one of the pics. I used to live near Chester, I always that that land just east of Chico was some of the best, most affordable, land in California. Plus with Chico so close, you can't go wrong. Good luck with your project!

Hi, I saw your post on Hip Forums. If it's time with the creator you need,.then maybe this is the place for you. David and I both had a vision, the creator told us to have a place for his people for when the time comes, and they see the world going down hill in front of them. this land is for those who see the truth, and hear the lies of the pharasies and preachers of religious law. David's had the land for 11 years, we talked with each other on the NET for three years, then last year me and my famly moved out here. we could really use help in constructing a solid foundation, in helping people be close to the creator in their own way. WE are 10 mi. from town, on 7 acres and looking to expand but need help. we have paintball feild, archery, shooting range, martial art's, we work steel and temper it. we have chickens ducks and a goat, this year we plan to have alot more. and with the thing we make, we can sell on ebay for small income. email me for more info, or you can call at 1-800-665-1637. Peace Ken
