How can i spend the least amount of money possible on food

The dollar store sells unhealthy fake food and ruins the local economy, making healthy food for good prices disappear.

 

im not gonna argue about what your dollar store sells or how it affects the economy. all i am going to say is that the food store that is right next door to the dollar store in my town sells about 90% of the same foods so if your saying the dollar store sells fake food then so does the grocery store in my town.

 

This is highly likely... Mine does.

 

In a tiny town, where you can see both ends of the town from the middle, maybe.

 

Anywhere.

I've never lived in a huge city, but in medium towns and small towns, I've seen the number of corner stores and such steadily decline. And it happens when a dollar store moves into the neighborhood and a walmart supercenter moves into town. The deals are not much better, and are for shit products, and it's more expensive when you factor in gas..... but it's what happens.

And I don't care how big a city is, a small grocer won't stay in business long when a dollar store moves in next door.

It takes your choice, and streamlines the economy. And when they've sucked things dry and move, there's nothing left.

 

Cook in bulk : cook your meals for the week on a Sunday (or whatever day you have off) then after long days you wont be tempted to spend money eating out as your meals are already prepared

Buy non-perishables in bulk while they are on sale

 

this is definitely what saves me the most money. pasta, rice, olive oil, frozen fruit and veggies. saves tons of money.

 

All else fails; anorexia.

 

Shop at a Sam's Club or BJ's.
