I have 20mg of 2cb right now. Im thinking of taking it tonight at this party. Ive only taken 2cb once before and it was only 10mg. I have access to lsd and was thinking about taking the 20mg along with a hit of acid. what would be the best way to time both of these doses? also whats the deal with drinking while on 2cb? ive heard people say its not good to do, but i dont really know, ive never done it. Also from my understanding, 20mg is a relatively low dose. What is the body high like? Ive also heard that with higher doses it can be uncomfortable, but I'm going to be in a party setting (which i'll easily be able to leave, if i have to). What should I expect with a relatively low dose? when I took the 10mg I was a bit anxious just from taking a new drug. But other then some mild anxiety I felt fine.
Some people are considerably more sensitive to it than others, 20 mgs is generally considered a moderate dose. The body high sort of has an MDMA feel to it (I believe I recall you said you were familiar with MDMA) with more of an LSD presentation. Breathing and touch feel good on 2cb and It's a sensual expierence in an MDMA sense but it's not quite as immeadiately forceful, rolling and maximized as MDMA, more exploratory like LSD. The headspace is kind of whimsical and carefree, at the 20 mgs dose range I had moments where I would be getting some pretty interesting visuals, particularly with eyes closed and other moments where the effects were barely noticeable yet I maintained a very carefree attitude. I think 20 mgs 2cb can stand on its own but if you were to dose the LSD I'd say dose it at the 2-3 hour Mark of the 2cb trip. I'd reccommend against taking 2cb with alcohol as I think alcohol is mostly incongruent with psychedelics , but that may be personal bias.
another thing I was thinking.... this will, at least for now, be my only chance to take this 2cb. I mean I wont likely be getting more any time soon. I was reading some experience reports on erowid... would it be better to wait and take it on a really nice day? since its so visual I dont really want to waste it on a show where I'll be primarly in a dark basement or in hallways surrounded by people. Or is it the kind of thing thats good in those settings? when i took the 10mg dose it was at an outdoor Animal Collective concert. My vision was enhanced a little bit but i wasnt really hallucinating, I kinda just felt like I was rolling.
At the 20 mgs dose level, I have expereinced some fairly intricate Closed eye visual and 'mind movies'. Unlike MDMA, I tend to be indifferent towards the communal/social atmosphere, so 2cb has been something I have enjoyed more in the company of a close friend or two in a relaxed setting, I even enjoy solo trips with 2cb as well. There can be pretty cool effects off visual stimuli like visualizers, glowsticks and artwork which feel more discernably hallucinatory then MDMA so if there is stuff like that at the show you had in mind it may be worth it but I generally prefer a more low key setting with 2cb. You'd probably have to approach 30 mgs give or take to enter into more LSD level hallucinations.
A party with drinking sounds like, at best, a waste of psychedelics. Especially the sort that are hard to come by, like 2cb. Yes, wait for a nice day. I recommend that you plan to be able to be alone, or with other trippers, for the first hour and ten minutes or so, and have some weed to smoke. The comeup may make you want to puke and feel pretty sick, and I know it rolls over on it's own, but a bowl will give it a kick in the ass and get things started and calm your stomach right down.
naw where im going to tonight is like a basement punk show, no cool lights and shit just like people moshing. ive been to a show on molly and enjoyed myself, and ive been to parties on low doses of lsd. but yeah sounds like i should wait for a nice day. im sure a really good one will come up soon as it gets warmer. and very likely ill be able to find some people who will take some shrooms or acid or something.
Well I decided to save it for another day. For future reference though, how does it affect like daily activity type things? Like when Im tripping I feel like I can walk forever, I have like way more energy. Is this similar? Would I be able to take it and then maybe an hour later go for a bike ride?
You would be able to ride a bike, I'm sure. In the way that you could on LSD. Ride a bike safely without being obviously on drugs? Probably not, at least until you know what it's like. As with any psychedelic, I'd try to leave your options open, so that if you peaked and decided that it was fine and you wanted to ride a bike, you could, but you would not have plans that would obligate you.
No! lol. Glad you didn't waste it there. That sounds like a good place for alcohol or cocaine. 2c-b is a gentle, loving, sensual experience. Take it with a lover. Take it by yourself, with lots of colorful things to look at and do. Take it out in nature. Definitely not a punk rock mosh party lol. Ok but then you won't know what 2c-b is like really 20 mg is PLENTY, take it on it's own. Don't expect visuals however. 20mg will make you very giggly, give you a powerful body high, and make you feel like you're rolling on MDMA and orgasming at every touch. Visuals don't really start in earnest until 30mg+ LSD takes 20mins-2 hours to kick in, 2c-b takes 1-2 hours, I just take them together at the same time. It's an incredible combo, but try the bee on it's own since it's so rare and you'll want to remember "what 2c-b is like". I'd say it's just like drinking on MDMA or LSD . . . if you want to, go for it, but I don't like mixing alcohol and psychedelics, they take you in completely opposite directions. It is, but it all depends. Will you experience ego death? No. Will you have insane open eye visuals? No. Will you be able to act sober around authority and function perfectly? Absolutely not. 20mg is my gf and i's preferred dose when we go camping or feel like tripping but "not too crazy". The best way I've heard it described, by multiple people, is like your body is completely submerged in a flowing river of silky cream. There is a constant "presence" to your body, 2c-b is very IN your body, you're not dissociated from it or melted away from it, you're extremely connected to every nerve signal, and they are all reporting pleasure. I've never experienced a body high as good as 2c-b can provide. The only thing that's come close is a strong dose of oxycodone, to give you an idea of the level of body pleasure happening. I'd say 20mg 2c-b gives me as much of a body high as 20mg oxycodone would, to someone with NO opiate tolerance. very strong, very noticeable, very ecstatic. PIHKAL and Erowid have some TRs of people having some rather bad times on 2c-b, having dark trips. To be honest I cannot understand those reports. 2c-b has always been nothing but euphoric, beautiful, sublime, gentle, colorful, malleable, forgiving . . . I've taken it at doses up to 50mg (twice) and even at very high doses like that, other than the typical PEA nausea during come up, which is erased after taking a few good hits of mary jane, there is really no discomfort at all. Don't have to worry about any of that on 20mg though, I mean you might get a bit nauseous but none of the feverish insanity that you might go through coming up on 50mg. As always, respect the substance, take care of set and setting, and remember that you are taking a psychedelic, not a toy. Make sure it's the right time, right place, and you're open to a potentially deep experience.
