So I've had this band for a while, but we've never had a name. We're a studio band, lacking the personnel and drive to play live, and we're getting to the point to where our recording quality is professional enough to not be distracting. Thus, we want to release a CD but we have no name. Our band consists of 3 people: male drummer, male guitarist/keyboardist/bassist/other/vocalist, and a female vocalist. I would describe our music as experimental indie rock, but I really only say that because we don't have one set style but rather a mesh of styles (rock, folk, blues, jazz, electronic.) The drummer and I are the original/core members who do all the songwriting and recording, so the name can focus on just the two of us or the band as a whole. The drummer's last name is Abbot and mine is Dikun (pronounced Deacon) so we were thinking about going with a "holy man" theme. Some examples: The Holy Men, The Divine, L.S.Divine. We're not really into drugs other than the drummer smokes pot, so L.S.Divine is out. Any suggestions?
If you were a metal head banger band "Open Heart Surgery" would work. Just an epiphany I had the other night when I saw a women with a t-shirt that had the word "open" in a valentine heart.
