Hi everyone.. I thought I would begin this thread we all can get to know KARMA. WHat happens to people who are bad to other people. Or maybe it will be a story about good karma. You know people who are good to other people. Just tell your story.. I sure would like to hear about how people Got thier karma handed to them, good or bad. You can even speak about karma that you have seen happen to other people you know... peace and love I love you family. REK
My brother and I are 4 years apart.. I was 16 years old and I was puffing nugs. My blood brother would flip out about how bad herb is for you.. I would allways say, you never tried it so how do you know. He went for about 5 years of preaching the the cons of marijuana. Then on his birthday one of his friends gave him 50 bucks to smoke some marijuana. He tried marijuana, and loved it. He smokes like a chiminy now. His karma is that he is a bigger marijuana smoker then I.. & I like to smoke alot. Try it and Legalize it..
holy crap, 50 bucks!??!?! thats an insane amount to just smoke herb... there really is no story behind my karma...im always nice to people, help them out in trouble, and people are good to me.
Maybe I'm just noticing some things and not noticing others, but it seems like all the times I've snuck into movies and other stuff like that are balancing out with things like parking tickets (65 bucks for being in a fire lane...at a movie theater WHILE I was sneaking in!) and the like.
it could very well be that were just selecting certian things out and exagerating them because we believe it will happen. either way there is noting wrong with karma, i think its a great mindset to find your self part of.
Yea My brother was dead set against it.. For a while. Well at least he got enough money to buy him self some more budzzzzzzzzzz.. To every action there is a reaction. That is karma mon. It is a deep thing but does any one body really really understand karma? Thats why I like to hear storys. But the question is. Is it karma or just what we think is karma? Or just things that were suppost to happen in a pre planned existance That we planned? In eternity. Is good karma; a karma that happens as soon as you do something? Or something that waits and lingers in your existance for a while.
My understanding of karma was that its not so much of an action/reaction thing or even type of cosmic justice, but rather the way that people learn to become "enlightened" only acting through love. Has anybody else been taught that way or am I way off? I think that the westernization of this idea has kinda spoiled it in a sense, making it seem like some form of punishment or something.
i wouldnt say your way off. beacuse really there is nothing that states exactly what it is, or nothing that i have read in a science book or something. i think a lot of prople go about it in a lot of diffrent ways, but generally end up with the same results.
Agreed, I don't see it as cosmic justice like that, that's the wrong way to see it. Think of how the universe works. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Physics, right? Well, I don't see why human interaction would be any different or seperate from that law. It's just cause and effect, which is how everything works. You poison the environment, you poison yourself (what you do the the environment you do to yourself). You act hatefully to others, they'll act hatefully to you. You get what you give, what goes around comes around. This is fundamental. Give love, and love will find you. Give negetivity and you'll only find negetivity. It's rare that you smile at someone and they don't smile back. It's like that, but on a larger scale. You can't always see it, not immediately, but why would cause and effect only work on small, immediate, visible scales, and not over large ones over longer time periods?
i have quite a few experiences that come to mind that have been chalked up to karma, but i'll give you one: I was at a festival this last summer, at a venue i had been many times before and have had nothing but great experiences with. We had gotten there in the middle of the night and got set up and went to see the last show of the evening. I set down my backpack in the middle of my tent, and when i got back it was gone. We had brought 5 O's of mushys with and they were in the bag. As pissed off as i was i didn't let it spoil my weekend. After I got home I was reading the Sunday paper and happened to check the police log. At 3:30a in the morning on Saturday a car got pulled over about 5 miles from harmony park and was searched and the police recovered..... you guessed it, 5 ounces of mushy's. That, in my eyes, is Karma, or cosmic justice, or whatever you wanna call it.
lol *love* karma ghost! hope i dont have any of those little guys following me around! anyways, i kind of look at karma as a way of God punishing or rewarding us for the things that we do. i mentioned that to my grandma once and she got mad. she thinks karma is a religion. but what can you do? shes from the ww II gen.
ha ha. one time I got pissed off about something, can't remember what. went stomping off, slipped, tripped, and fell halfway down a hill in the mud on my ass.
Hehehe wicked link.. karma ghosts the best!!! i'v been a bit of a cow over the past few weeks.. i dumped my bf when he didnt do anything wrong, he just started gettin on my nerves.. then i started reaaally badly flirting with this guy who i KNOW has a gf, and he said he would dump her for me.. so all this was adding up to bad karma. and on thursday, my friend was talking to one of my best m8s who i've been in love with for ages, and who's told me that he like likes me.. she was going: you fancy ro, blablabla, and he told her he doesnt. so of course she told me, and that made me completely pissed off - bad karma always gets ya! so now i'm trying to put things right, get some good karma, and all that. i think i'm about neutral right now.. but i try to be nice to people anyway, i mean, thats just what ya do right?
