No I don't think its the 'Revelations'. 26,000 people died in Iran last year from an earth quake. These tragedies happen all the time. It is very sad, but it is the nature of the world we live in.

this is the world, people, and its going to keep on keeping on. we cant stop natural disasters from happening...... there will be earthquakes, floods, tornadoes, tsunamis, hurricanes. I dont know how this one event will spark the apocalypse, thats just insane. we are just animals inhabiting this earth. the earth does what it wants. it could shake all of us off like a bad case of the fleas.

I think if the kingdom of god is at hand, more would have happened, not just some tidal wave. I think there would be fire and brimstone falling from the sky. I havent seen that yet.

no, this is no sign...this is just what goes on everyday...except this earthquake is a lot stronger than normal...theres tons of tectonic activity everyday. just a few days ago, a 8.0 earthquake hit south of austraila. theres plenty of activity up near alaska all the time, near california theres activity. the earth is always changing. natural events like this happen all the time.

It could be a sign, nobody knows. Nobody knows anything other than what they've been conditioned to believe.

While there is no scientific evidence that points to this being a sign that points to anything in particular, perhaps something more sinister, I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility either. This world is a lot more bizarre than many people think it is.

But there is no doubt about it, when you take the weather we've seen lately -- taking into conideration the recent hurricane season -- and coupled with intense seismic activity (keep in mind Antarctica was hit with an 8.1 earthquake just days before Indonesia), I don't think it makes anyone "strange" for asking such questions. I think most open-minded people would ask themselves such questions.

If you are referring to the earthquake in Revelations, it has not happened yet. When it does, it will take place in Jerusalem and the toll with be seven thousand people. There are many, many signs that God gives according to the End Times. Provided Bush is the antichrist, the world would end in 2012, according to the seven year timeline. Many claim, "It has not happened yet, it will not happen". That is because they are oblivious to the signs. Know God, know the signs.

1. The covenant has not been signed that gives Israel it's land provisions (When it does, this peace treaty will mark the final seven years)
2. The third temple has not been built (But when the antichrist stands in the middle of the temple mount, claiming to be God, it will mark the last three and a half years of his reign where after claiming to be about peace, he will show his true colors. Keep in mind that no one is allowed to step into a Jewish temple mount unless they are Jewish) (
3. Mark 13:14 : Dan 9:27; 11:31; 12:11 )
4. The antichrist and false prophet have not been revealed (The false prophet will be the religious leader that is the antichrist's sidekick, and his religion will be the one world religion that will dominate the world).

Are the End Times at hand? Yes.... the mark is already being spread. However, at the moment, it is merely an option. When the antichrist is in reign, it shall be a requirement.
