Sorry, I just have to rant about this: Swing and a miss, while the advice about family adult internet filters may have been in the interest of helping families' raise their children in a way that they choose most fit, it really is in the end horrible advice.~ This is mainly because, by choosing not to expose your children to sexuality, it has the adverse effect.~ The problem is not what they're watching but how the parents choose to deal with it, often parents would raise their children by sweeping everything under the rug that is ban all things sexual and never talk about it at all. This is the worse thing possible to do, no scratch that worst thing possible to do is to raise them to hate themselves for even existing as sexual beings, by doing this you are guarenteeing that this will all blow up in your faces eventually, in other words someone will get pregnat, hurt, or both.~ It's a good idea to talk about sex, what might happen, how will you and your growing young adult child will handle it, and advising them that no matter what they look at they should be careful not to do that stuff depending on what it is because it could lead to some pretty serious effects like getting arrested going to jail, getting really sick (like with the whole eating poop thing), ending up in the hospital, getting raped, getting hurt, hurtting someone, etc.~ Also no matter what you may ban, growing children will always find a way to do it or look at it anyways (this counts for all children birth to til they leave your house). This is especially true if it's something they absoulutly need to be healthly (without sexual release young adult children (teenagers) and even adults will most likely become unhealthly in many ways depending on the individual (with the rare exceptions of individuals who need no sexual release on a mental level, but it is ideally healthy from physical point of view for everyone to get sexual release), including mentally, emotionally, physically, and YES spiritually.). And if you ban everything sexual ever, you are guaranteeing that they WILL defy you, look for the things that you specifically forbade and the more you try to push them away from those things the more they will look at them and if you push them far enough they may even do them. The more you scream not to do something the more they will want to do it, banning and pushing away them away from certain things will only have the oppisote effect. WHY? because they like all creatures in existence YES EVEN YOU are curious, they want to know they want to see, by forbidding it you making it interesting, mysterious, and in-effect disirable.~
I'm not arguing for sexual repression. But I don't think that not talking about sex all the time leads your kids to eat poop. Not sure what the fuck you're talking about.
I'm talking about the different kinds of fetishes out there, look up two girls 1 cup if you want a taste of what is out there.~ Haha!~
yeah, i'm a little lost too. are you basically saying that kids should be able to watch whatever internet porn they want, but then parents need to talk to them about it so the kids don't decide to go imitate the scat porn they just watched?
Ditto. I ll also add internet filters are useless. If they arw learning how to navigate an ipod at 2 yrs nowadays you can be sure theyll be miles ahead of the parents by early teens. Parents talking about nanny filters when they have to ask the 11 year old how to play mp4s. Waste of time. Besides its too much repression that causes most of the weird shit
We don't use filters at all. Our children all knew how a baby was made before they started school and they all saw people naked regardless of gender in non-sexual environments growing up. It is all natural. We do not cover their eyes during a movie should a sex scene happen for it is life, it is natural. Should they look away, that is their decision. We also have no taboo subjects. They are growing up as stable people and they shake their heads in disbelief at the way their see kids react to the most natural of things relating to life and the body. We also refuse to have these nanny nets as they are students. Filters block the silliest of things.
