For the last few years I have been training on and off and my diet has been the same way. I need consistency in order to become healthier. I remember moving away from home for a year and i got in such good shape. I think the shift in enviroment really did me good. In this new enviroment there wasn't much arguing and training felt so easy to do and not like such a task. Before that i was in decent shape and trained with weights regulary and I also went to thai boxing regularry. But after a year away from home when I came back I got depressed and put on some weight. Then I got a job and lost that weight but after I lost that job I got depressed and put on weight. Since then I havnt been able to capture the same type of consistency I once had and im out of shape. A

ny recomendations? Has anybody else had the same issue? Have any of you guys been in shape then some where down the line got out of shape? Whats your story?

sometimes you just have to force yourself to get up and do it. setting a workout schedule would probably help in that case, since you then have the added push of knowing you're supposed to be doing it right now.

this can turn into one of those vicious cycles. you're depressed, so you don't work out, so you become even more depressed.

not really, at least not like this. i've had periods where i was not particularly in shape, but that was more because i was too busy or it just wasn't a priority at the time.
