Anyone familiar with the posession and growing laws in B.c?

u can possess under 9 grams and not be charged, and almost 100% of the time WONT be ticketed, as for growing, once your grow op's been busted it's 6 months in Jail or a 5000$ fine which almost all growers pay and are released right away

 

Is the penalty the same if you are there on a visa from the U.S?
