I'm writing this becuase I'm sick of people saying that all people who smoke marijuana are bum losers. I have a few examples, one of them being my friends uncle. He is a multi-millionaire. My friend tells me he rakes in over $10 million a year! My friend cought him smoking a J one day. I really don't know where I'm going with this but I just wanted to share that with every one. Also, if you know some one who is rich or successful and is a stoner, post something about them on this thread.
that's the problem with generalizing and stereotyping. people think that just because they know a few people that smoke, whatever their traits are are the way that every other stoners act. and it's not just with stoners, it's with any other group of people you can stereotype... it's wrong, and when people say it, i say ignore them.
yeh but the truth is that the majority of people who smoke every day are quite bummish, at least the people ive known. i try to keep myself from being a bum, but im still the biggest layed back hippy of all the people i know, and smoke the most weed.
see that's the problem... 75% of the people i know that smoke are kids in college, who have their shit together, and have active lives. even the ones that aren't in college aren't "bums"... they have jobs and such... but the problem my friend is with generalizing.
obviously if you have your shit together, theres a higher probability most of the people you socialise with do too. the main problem with generalisation is about how people smoke weed. most people who smoke dont do it every day, they do it socially or a few times a week or on teh weekends. how many of those 75% of people you know, miami, smoke more than once a day?
a good 75% of them... the other 25% maybe smokes during parties or other random times. but then again, college stoners are still a small minority because college students in general are a small percentage, and then you have to think about how many people smoke when they're in college, the number is even smaller. but that's not to say that only college stoners have their shit together, many adults that have homes and families smoke also. but i'm not saying there aren't lazy stoners out there, but the lazy stoner is just as popular as the lazy person who doesn't smoke.
