Who else wonders why they come here?

Most of the time it just makes me angry or sad. Or both.

It is probably because he finds it deeply threatening when people don't agree with him.

Specifically: most of the threads just make me angry because they never flow right. It comes down to arguments of syntax.

And the last couple years threads tend to work in these odd trends. Where one page is filled with people attacking on this side, the next page is a bunch of people ganging up on this other side. It seems so .. political.

And every time someone disagrees, without rebutting (which happens all the time anymore) I want to break my screen. And my keyboard. And definitely my modem.

And all my threads blow up in my face, which makes me sad.

And of course there's the *ahem* "missing" members..

 

You could just put me on ignore so I won't make you feel so sad, I don't mind.

Personally I have great affection for this place and it never makes me feel sad.

 

I don't wonder why I come here, I know. Boredom. So I'm here an awful lot more than I used to be.

 

I don't wonder. Its fun and relaxing to me.

 

I actually stopped posting on here so much because the topics just aren't as interesting as they used to be. Not to mention all the little git newbies...*sigh*

 

Threads go south and uninteresting and stupidly controversial, I agree. But usually within a few days something else interesting/entertaining crops up.

 

I get irritated and upset sometimes, but there is such a variety of topics and discussions on stuff that interests me that keeps me coming back.

Forum games is my HF happy place.

 

because its not a sausage festival like the shroomery..

just the thread alone has 5female posters..

 

I come here mainly because I enjoy the forums and think rather highly of a lot of the posters.

If it causes angst in your life it is probably time to consider a break as no forum is worth that.

sometimes. when i feel like that, i just don't click any of the threads in the politics section... it's just the same people arguing the same things over and over. which i guess it what politics is.

 

I come here to watch the wildlife

kind of like sitting at the mall and watching the crazy people

this place is a bit better...mostly because i have to wear pants at the mall

 

Arguments are entertaining. The only time I want to gouge my eyes is when someone draws unreasonable and incorrect conclusions about me from a few posts.

But really....how serious can you take a talk forum. Everyone needs to put it in perspective.
