The Annunaki were the pantheon of gods of Sumerian mythology. Their contemporary relevance is whatever the irrational fringe who believe in them and Orbs choose to give them. I put them in the same category with people who talk to plants and go on about their past lives.
More people are able to see through the lies of religions but the more deeply embedded fantasy of spirituality remains.
