I do. I was just wondering if it was a common occurance. I am seemingly the only one of my friends whom this happens too......but it happens pretty much every time. Unless I have already recently hit a few ballons....then not so much......so just wondering.......

I have not done nitrous in over a year...........and not really THAT much in my lifetime.

Hmmm.....by blackout I mean.....uh......its hard to explain I guess. It's like everything goes dark for the time and then I 'come to' in a way. I dunno, I have never really thought about it much....I dont think Im completely unconcious, maybe I am...maybe I am just so far out there that I close my eyes unknowingly and by the time it wears off my eyes open again? I dunno, nevermind cause I know Im probably not explaining it well. Just a thought I had yesterday.........

Yes, I know exactly what you mean. It is a common occurence, commonly referred to as "fishing out". Happens to me all the time, thats why I think nitrous is one of the funnest' drugs.

You can go into a completly different world where you forget about everything you loved and you are just there in darkness, then about 10 seconds later you "come too" and say "what the hell just happened, where am I?" Amazing experience.

I know what your talking about too. "Fishing out" or "blacking out" is caused by a lack of oxygen to the brain, its actually what makes nitrous so dangerous. If you breathe oxygen in between huffs off a balloon then you'll reduce the chances of blacking out, and reduce the damage on your brain. The biggest thing is to SIT DOWN when your doing nitrous, its very easy to fish out while standing up and fall and bust your head open. I have seen it before in the lot at shows specially Camden where kids get too wasted then hit balloons and fuck themselves up. Be careful & have fun.

Yeah, this can be from lack of oxygen. Not just from the drug. People have actually died in dentists chairs when the O2 N2O mixture fucks up. It also happens to people who breathe this stuff right outta the cylander.

I had nitrous the first time when I was 9 at the dentists. I started hallucinating, (everything got all fat and like "squiggle vision") and then I screamed really loud My parents were in the waiting room and thought it was a dental drill, it was so high pitched. Then I blacked out. Turns out the dentist's O2 can ran out, he didn't realize it, he was yelling at his assistant and fired the guy on the spot, I could have died.

I have never done this shit again. This was 33 years ago. I used to see the balloons at Dead concerts and say "NO WAY!!!!"

Be careful with this stuff, especially the way you take it.
