How much is too much alcohol when mixing it with oxy for recreational purposes? Is there a recreational benefit when mixing them? I mean if I took a shot of southern comfort (70 proof) after snorting 30mg and planning on snorting more is that safe and would that increase the high? Thanks for any information guys

It's not really a potentiator, but alcohol seems to increase the euphoria of some opiates. I used to enjoy drinking beer after taking Hydrocodone, but I don't do it any more. You need to be careful with it. The danger isn't really the opiate itself, but the acetominophen that is included with some opiates. The combination of alcohol and aceto is very hard on your liver.

I used to drink a lot while popping Vic 10s and it did increase the high alot however with me, it would make my stomach hurt because I wouldn't eat anything to prolong the high. Just be careful and try not to do it that often because it really isn't too good on your body.

Incredible benefits, for me at least. Opiate and alcohol go hand in hand for me, I can't have one without the other. If I'm looking just to get by (go to work/school in a good mood and with enhanced performance) I'll be ok with just a nice IV dose of opiates. Eg, when oxys were still around, 40mg IV would have me doing very, very well.
But if I'm taking it to get real high, I'd have to drink about half a mickey, shoot a 40, and continue drinking, shooting 20-40mgs a couple hours later. Nowadays they're no more oxys, so the process is the same, but 6mg of Dilaudid(or 0.065 of heroin) then maybe 2 hours later, after more drinks, about 4mgs of Dilaudid(or, in the case of heroin, 0.04gs 3-5 hours later).
Now, remember, this is not safe whatsoever. I do not recommend it, I'm just relating my optimal dosages of particular substances. And keep in mind, heroin is never, ever the same potency. I've gotten junk where we could get a nice buzz off a 0.1, then the day after, have a guy OD off a 0.075 from another batch from the same dealer.

It feels fucking good, don't it? Huh? Back in '98 I fell on some ice and messed up my kneecap. I was on Vicodin for weeks. Back then though 10-15mg would really get me going. So I would sit in front of the tv all night drinking beer and taking Vikes. Totally forget my knee. Man, that was awesome. I'd start at maybe 8pm and before I knew it it was 6am with the sun coming up. I swear that combo was better than coke. I didn't have a clue that I could be hurting my liver, although at that point I wasn't taking more than 1500mg of acetominophen per day.

we just went over this in pharm.. A little alcohol makes your liver metabolize things faster and a lot of alcohol makes it slow down. So, a lot of alcohol helps the drug remain in your system longer. If it matters to any of you

No, not safe and increasing your high just to go into respiratory depression is not worth it to me. I've had two beers with OxyContin and morphine and it didn't increase it for me, it was nice and fuzzy but nothing major. Hard booze is a def no to mix with opiates. Beer is so light, the alcohol content so diluted. I won't say safe but less harmful than booze and lots of opiates.
