Question For Guys That Shave

OK, new member here and a question:

Regarding guys that shave their junk - how comfortable are you living with it? I’m not talking about the pros and cons of shaving, or whether or not it feels good. There's a million threads here about that already. I'm talking about how far you go in publicly acknowledging it. I’m a recent convert myself, my wife and I totally dig it, but I have to admit, it makes me a little self-conscious. Should it?

If you find yourself changing clothes in a public locker room, do you turn to the wall to hide it? If you’ve got a doctor’s appointment that will require dropping your drawers, do you let your pubes grow back in for a couple weeks before the appointment? If the topic comes up in casual party conversation, do you freely admit to it or do you decide it’s a good time to go get another beer?

It seems to me that this is a widely growing practice, but still perceived by a lot of people as something kinky. What you do with & for your partner is your own business and A-OK in my book, but who’s living the “shaved lifestyle” loud and proud, and who’s still “in the closet”? And what do you think is the general public’s acceptance of it?

I shave everything down there and have no problem who knows or see's it for that matter! It is something both my lady and I love. We enjoy a lot of oral and neither one of us like hair stuck in our mouth.

 

If a someone asked me if I shave down there or trim it, I'd tell them the truth & they may then find that I do have a sort of kinky side to me that they may thought otherwise about.
How many woman tell their other female friends they shave there pubic hair without the other person mentioning it.
I would tell someone if I we were talking about sexual topics too. They may think I were just joking with them & think I were not that way inclined at all.

 

Not that long ago it used to be considered taboo & really kinky. These days, however, it's viewed more of a standard choice & is becoming more the rule rather than the exception.

 

I suppose when us guys & girls shave ourselves, it makes that area like it was when before puberty started & we liked the smooth ' unclutterd' look instead & now it makes us feel / appear younger. But it's good to do a bit of maintaince hair wise down there for diifferent reasons.

 

I'm not the kind of dude that's going to prattle to strangers about whether or not I shave at a cocktail party. I'll simply say, "keep guessing and good luck, buddy." It's not that I feel the need to hide it; more like it's nobody's business what the fuck I do to balls unless you're going to suck it.

I don't even think about it anymore, since I've been shaving for over 6 years. But, I do remember feeling self-conscious for the first 6 months to a year. Since then, I've been to doctors, gay nightclub bathrooms, whorehouses, you name it.

All skin and no hair... :biggrin:

Edit: I trimmed only for a while during that period, because I got shaving bumps and had a huge herpes scare. Later I tested negative and the bumps are now gone.

 

I shave and am not self-conscious about it at all... it feels better and looks better.

I'm a bit of a nudist too... the only thing I try to do is not waggle my dick in people's faces.

The only reason I ever hide nudity is to stop others from feeling uncomfortable, so I try and show that I'm making an effort to stick it at another angle or something lol.

I use a cream to kock it off, I get bad shaving rashes. I don't frequently drop my pants in public so yeahhhh.

 

I usually ask people why they would even think of asking me whether I shaved or not.
That is when I used to shave, got scared with the whole ingrown hair thing so I'm just trimming it down when I need to. No one see's me naked any ways, other than the girl im with.

 

I am trimmed right now but was shaved for a long time. Never had any Doctor or other person look or think that it was odd for me to be shaved there. I enjoyed being shaved.

 

I've played sports all my life and I have never witnessed a reason to be self concous about a shaved pubic area. I may just be ammune to it but I have showered every time I participate in any sport since high school. It's not uncommon to be in a shower room with naked men. Some shave some don't, I've never even thought about shaving as an issue.

 

Mine looks much bigger when shaved, so I'm actually eager to show it off in locker room situations.

I tried using Veet once, but it burned so much that never again. Back to the faithful Bic 1 Orange Razor for me.

 

Been smooth for 20 years now, i shave daily, cock, sack, perineum, anal area, ass the lot. It feels amazing when i first did it and still feels amazing now. After shaving i always use lots of moisturiser, it stops a rash developing.

 

I wouldn't have it any other way.

 

I shave down there on occasions but mainly go for the designer stubble look! I used to think it was a bit taboo when changing in a public place but I grew to realise no one even bothers. In fact, if you look around a change room its more unusual to see someone with a bush now!

 

I have shaved my nether regions for two reasons. First, it was due to the fact that I performed in drag and tucking with hair down there is painful when removing the duct tape. Secondly, sometimes, though not always, I shave down there because the hair annoys me.

 

If I just trim it up a bit it doesn't bother me, but if I go to extremes then I become a bit self-conscious about it and feel kinda "weird".
