As we all know valentine's day is coming up and my fairly long-term crush has been on my mind nonstop. So I've decided to man up and tell her how I feel tomorrow night. We're both musicians and she plays guitar, so I wanted to make something that would 'play' to that (hehe get it). So I went down to the music shop and they had these little ring cases but for guitar picks, so I got one of those and used a pick punch to make a cool pick with holographic musical notes on the back, then I painted it red on the other side and cut the top into the shape of a heart (I know, cheesy as hell). I don't know her very well but we've been hanging out more recently and I feel like the time to make a move has come. Does this sound like a good idea? How do I go about giving her the pick and telling her how I feel? And most of all, will this fuck our friendship up royally if it turns out she doesn't feel the same way?
I'd say open the ring case in front of her (so she doesn't think it's a ring) and ask her to be your valentine while trying to hand it to her. Also flowers. Good luck!
So I talked to her roommate and found out that she's already seeing someone. I'm a little disappointed, but her telling me that sure did save a lot of awkwardness and possibly even our whole friendship. Phew!
