Am I missing something not smoking out of glass?

bongs, specifically. I have a 12" acrylic, and I'm wondering if glass is worth the price of admission.

I've been looking at Vegas Glass Art, and I'm debating between an 18" straight BD and a Zong (I love how it looks). I'd probably get one of the kits with the ashcatcher and all that shit. I'm wondering, is it worth it to pay more for a 19/22mm over the 14/20? What's the advantage and is it noticeable?

And do you all use glass screens in your glass? How long do they last?

 

A glass bong will def fuck you up more than anything IMO

Glass is the best, in my opinion. Unless you're carrying it around or something.. but glass has no taste, so you taste a pure-weed taste. Glass bongs are usually designed to give you really big hits.. I mean really big hits. My friends have puked off hits and I have had one burn my lungs and throat and I couldn't even get all of the smoke out of my lungs on the exhale. Needless to say, I coughed a whole lot.

I just bought my first glass bong a little over a week ago, and it certainly has been a nice experience. I really dont think that there is much of a significant difference between your bong materials, except the taste. The only difference I could think of is that different materials can mix with the chemicals in the smoke,like the molocules that come off from the acrilic could effect the depth of your hits, because the molocules could be more dense and take up more space than the molocules from the smoke, effecting the potency of the pot. Probably not but im just thinking.

Not too long ago I made an acrilic bong and I can tell you that that the only difference was that, my glass bong I am able to take bigger hits, and the smoke is way smoother. But anyone will prefer glass over anything else.
