First grow not yet harvested, already wondering about the next one

I think I'm hooked, lol. I'm a week or so away from harvesting my first grow, 3 NL's and 2 B52's under a 400 HPS. I don't know what I'll yield, or how it will be, but I'm fairly confident it will be better than anything I've ever bought and "pay for" the equipment.

Assuming I get 8 oz or more, this bud will last me like, a year. No shit, I don't smoke that much (maybe I'll start smoking more now?). On my next grow I know I want to try cloning. But I can't decide whether to try to reveg these 5 plants, or wait several months until I'm running low and start from seed again. I have some left from my SD order, but it'd be my last batch.

Can't decide if it'd be better to try to reveg and spend the $$ and effort to rejuvenate the plants, then maybe wind up with some long-stored buds, or just toss everything, and start from seed again down the road, thus ensuring I'd have to order from across the ocean again at some point. I guess that wouldn't be too bad, seeds aren't too much compared to the cost of running a light 24 hrs for a couple weeks reviving a plant. And I could try some new strains. I wish I could give myself a big stockpile of B52/NL seeds, but that's a little too advanced for me at this point I think.

Umm... did I have a point? Not sure. Any thoughts?

 

Start your seeds now. Get the females going and keep em in veg till you can clone them. You can use regular flourescents and the cost will be minimal. Then flower them. You can also take a male plant when you find one, and put it in a closet seperate with another flouro light. Put him on 12/12 till he starts to drop pollen, then put one of your females in there. Let the male die off and let the female stay under the 12/12 till her seeds rattle in the pods. Problem solved, lol. In the mean time, you have the rest off the females still under flouros that you can put under your HPS and flower as needed for your smoke. Kind of like 3 little grow rooms. I have used kitchen cabints for a grow room. So you hav vegging seedlings under flouros, a cabint with a flouro in it waiting for a male and a female, and then your flowering area. ...So to put it into laymens terms, Do this,

Sprout the seeds, put them under flouro lights for about 2 weeks after they germinate and have a few sets of true leaves, After that, put the lights on a 12/12 cycle to show sex. Take the best looking male and label him. KILL all the other males. Put him in another part of the house on a 24/7 light cycle to revert him back to vegg, in the mean time, put your lights back to 24/7 When your females are about a foot tall, take one and put her in with the male and switch them back to a 12/12 to induce flowering. They will do their thing and you will get a pollinated plant. The male will die off early and let the femal go untill you can hear her seeds rattle in the pods. This will solve your seed problems.

In the mean time, you have the other females vegging and can put them under the hps when your running low.

Another option, and less of a hassle is to plant a select # of seeds. Vegg them under the flouros, then 12/12 the lights to sex them, kill the males, keep the females as moms and just clone as needed. You can flower out a plant anytime.
