Don't like gay marriage, don't marry someone of your own gender. Simple as that. Marriage is not being redefined to the point that only gay people will be able to marry. Honestly, cease being so fallacious.

Fallacious? You don't know the meaning of the word!
Stop calling people bigots. Start doing some research on what this is all about. Then, you might want to post on the topic. Instead of hurling unfounded insults.

Every society since the year dot had a policy on marriage. Every society understood what it meant. But some people want to come along and brand as bigots billions upon billions of people over tens of thousands of years, in thousands of different cultures. . Goebbels used to try and redefine basic words - killing people became "freeing poor oppressed Aryans". Anyone who disagreed was "conspiring against them".

Guess what, I'd like a redefintion of marriage. I'll go on a date with the Onassis shipping heir, and call it marriage. Then I'll divorce her and claim 8bn. Only thing is... its not marriage... duhhhh!!

    Same here.

I think its clear that YOU'RE the bigot here.

So tell me, in your wisdom, how are the Ancient Greeks "bigoted against homosexuals because they didn't have gay marriage"?

Oh I forgot, you have no answer for that one...!

And when are you going to draw the line on who can marry? Or the rewriting of other words like "religion", "freedom" and the like?

You've ducked out of answering til know, I suspect you'll continue to duck out of it!

PS are you going to lock up religious people next?

Sorry, but the persecution card does not apply to those who are the majority and enjoy the misguided freedoms of their insanity.

You. My logic is sound. Yours is not. Again, I use the word you hate, mainly due to the fact that you know it applies to your lack of reason. Fallacious.

Now you want to confuse homosexuality with being transgendered? Yes, lack of reason and fallacious describe you perfectly.

I don't give a fuck if they get married, but they shouldn't be able to adopt and raise children.

You know how bad that that kid would get picked on!

That is a poor argument, because kids will get picked on for anything. Kids get picked on for wearing glasses, having acne, and being big boned. Using your logic, no one should procreate unless it could be made absolutely certain that the children would be genetically predisposed to perfect eyesight, clear skin at puberty, and a fast metabolism.

Let them get married. None of that bible thumping bullshit should interfere with other people's rights. They should also be allowed to adopt too. I'd rather see more kids getting adopted into good homes than more people breeding. The world's overpopulated as it is and there are plenty of kids up for adoption. No need to make more.

My Dad has a simple saying "as long as they don't make it compulsory, I'm OK with it". He says that regarding a lot of things, including child support...

My daughter has a friend who has 3 moms. They are great moms. I see nothing wrong with gay couples raising children.

    marriage-yes
    adopting kids-yes

in the interests of equality it's only right that homosexuals be afforded the same rights as heterosexuals, to do otherwise would be absurd.

That said, i dissaprove of marriage as an institution, and worry that, by arguing for the definition of marriage to be enlarged, we add legitimacy to the idea that love must be licensed and recognised by the state in order to be valid which, to me, is an abhorrent idea.

but, since dismatnling the institution of marriage in general seems a long way off, i'll settle for this step towards equality, which is a step in the right direction :)
