So a friend of me has tried LSD a couple of times, and now she says when she tired tired, she still sees enhanced colors and lines etc.. Is this normal :S? She hasn't taken any for about 2 weeks ago.

oh no. enhanced colors and lines?!

doesn't sound like that big of a deal.

it is somewhat normal to notice an effect like that after taking psychedelics. if it's really bothering your friend, you can assure her it will get less and less over time, providing she doesn't keep tripping.

I highly doubt its anything along the lines of brain damage or that sort of thing.
It's completely normal for a person to notice and see thing in a new brighter like perspective.
After my first psychedelic I notice a whole lot more about the world, your friend is experiencing the awesomeness of LSD!!

What's her drug use like in general? Either way it doesn't sound too worrying. It only happens when she's tired, and when the human brain is tired there are visual effects.

Enhanced colours means she has kept the colour filters disassembled. The sky is not blue, it is a whole spectrum of blues. This is a fantastic development in her visual world.

And lines...you can see the fractals off the edges of objects if you know what you're looking for.

I'd go with this, tell her not to get freaked - aMT changed my perception of colour and it's helped me tremendously(my sig was semi inspired by that trip - "Seeing in Colour") even though I can't pinpoint what exactly has changed now, there was a significant increase in depth and richness in everything the following days, and I like to think I kept at least some of it.

I have noticed since my most recent trip, I have seen trees differently. It's a combination of her noticing colors a lot more, and that she is remembering her experience.

    I get that.

Like when I just wake up or when it's very dark and the light comes or or I step outside, it flashes (especially when I get back inside) like when a fluorescent lamp starts going bad and flickers very fast between full brightness and half brightness, only it's all my vision. And sometimes when I'm tired and/or very high, I see flowing/grating patterns of lines on some surfaces.

However, though they both happen when I'm tired, I believe them to be different. I've only really seen patterns a few times, and I think it's a "flashback", though not in the steriotypical and negative way, and when I'd concentrate on them, just like on a mild trip, they would disappear in the area that I was looking. The flashing, however, happens all the time, weekly if not daily, specifically if I get up for the bathroom in the middle of the night and turn a light on, it happens when I turn it off again. And it's entirely uncontrollable and mechanical, the rate is set and no amount of playing with my vision will change it, it simply happens when I am in that state of mind and tiredness or light sensitivity, and/or focus on some light/dark patterns. And there's no intoxication, if I had the knowledge to, I'd consider myself qualified to fly a fighter jet, these effects don't come with any impairment or delusion.

It's been pretty much the same since it's started, had it for years, starting after taking psychedelics, but it hasn't gotten worse with taking more.

I would guess, from the quality/feel of the visual effects, if they WHERE caused by my psychedelic use, it was not by LSD, but by DOB, which I have only used once. I'm not blaming it on psychedelics at all, I can't firmly link it with them. But as far as time goes, I guess it also did start well after I'd used LSD and LSA and DXM and MDMA and such, but only shortly after DOB.

And IF it's the DOB that did that for me, it seems that some phenethylamine psychedelics may be more likely to cause HPPD, like 2ce, which I doubt I would ever take if I had the chance, because of the horror stories about how it can mess with people. I've never heard of HPPD from shrooms or DMT, and though I've heard of it with LSD, DOX has long been substituted for LSD on blotter preparations.

For what it's worth, things like tasting words or seeing music are not that uncommon, or seeing things that you simply understand to not be actually moving or whatever. I have met people who have never taken drugs who have those effects.
