If you could afford to live in any neighborhood in New York City, where would you live? Me? Park Slope, Brooklyn somewhere between 9th & 15th Sts, between 7th Ave & Prospect Park West in a Brownstone.
In the neighborhood that Breakfast At Tiffany's took place in. Idk anything about New York neighborhoods.
Film: Holly Golightly’s apartment: East 71st Street, East Side, New York Me: 808 Columbus Ave New York, NY 10025
I do not know any New York neighbourhoods, but I am pretty sure I do not want to live in New York anyway.
The only time I've been to NYC I was on 4 hits of strong blotter....... So I choose the neighborhood that had all the tall buildings that were melting.
I wouldn't want to live in NYC -- it's a shithole. I don't feel much better about most other manmade hives/cities, but Toronto is the city I would choose to live in if I had to live in a city.
It's just a nice clean city. I have always enjoyed going there. I like the vibe of the city and the diversity of the people. In a way it's like NYC, but without as many bad odors and violent crimes. Plus, it's fairly close to where I live now.
It's a nice place. Expensive to live there, but nice. There are also a handful of vapor lounges where you can hang out and smoke pot and listen to music.
If you could afford to live in any neighborhood in New York City, where would you live? Nowhere in NYC. I prefer more rural settings.
I'd avoid NYC altogether. Piermont and Nyack are two of the coolest towns on the Hudson River just North of NYC, though. Really bloody expensive to try and live in those towns, though.
Hmm, Park Avenue would be ok, but probably jawdroppingly boring by NY standards. Likewise, the Hamptons (yes I know its not *really* NY, but it is, in a way). THe Meatpacking District seems to be interesting. However, its the most homosexual sounding place in the whole world... Trump Towers sound interesting. But that rugrat Trump is probably one of the most detestable people in the whole world... Everyone says Greenwich Village, so maybe thats a reason *not to* choose that. With responses like this, its probably just as well I'm not a real estate agent..hehe OK Maybe Upper East Side, followed by Tribeca. But I find living in a "compressed" city all the time, can be a bit claustrophobic. In reality, I don't know NYC well enough to actually compare the day to day vibe of all the different areas. If I was choosing a megacity, maybe Moscow would edge ahead of NY for me..
Lol. Sounds like u went to the MSG Dead showswent to as many as possible. Loved the Trump building looking over the park. I'd live their. Or Chelsie hotel. I stayed on 84th street near some docks.or the river I think. Tripping a lot during those days. .
New York is a shithole, but it's also my home. I wouldn't really stay in NYC though, I'm from 45 mins away in the suburbs of Long Island! It's the perfect spot, close enough to go to the city whenever, but you can still have a little space. But houses out there are expensive!!! Me and my Ex were paying 1,800$ a month for a tiny two bedroom basement apartment!!
