I have been finding myself bored lately, and I need something new and different to occupy my time. Which would you consider the best FREE MMORPG to download and play?
My friend plays League of Legends. He downloaded it onto my computer and played for hours so I guess its fun
^Yeah I'd play LoL (League of Legends) or Guild Wars 2 (well you pay for GW2 but no monthly fee) both are free and apparently fun, my friends love em - haven't played a MMO in a while, too much of a time sink for me but yeah my $.02
i was never really an MMO guy. i did get sucked into lord of the rings online for a few months; that was pretty fun, and is free until you reach a certain level, and after that point the content can be pretty much doubled for a one time payment of something like $8.
Those are the main two games that my household plays lately. I like that GW2 has no monthly fee and it is a lot more fun than World of Warcraft which is expensive and full of spoiled brats who take the fun out of raiding and dungeons. I have not been playing any of those games lately. I have just been playing Minecraft on the Xbox with my son and a couple of his friends about once a week. My son has been playing guild wars daily and the other guy who lives here has been playing, League of Legends.
Okay, I am currently downloading League of Legends. I will let you know whether I like it after I have started playing it.
Try mine here. It is an isometric MMORPG, hosted in USA, with no online game shop. Most MMORPGs these days have online game shops, which completely ruin the game for me. Free to play, pay to win. If that's okay with you, try: Perfect World LOTRO Tera (soon to go F2P) Lineage 2 If you're not spending anything at all, the best option would be: WOW Private Servers (truewow.org is the best one by far) League of Legends is not a MMORPG, it is a MMOBA. If you want to play a MMOBA, HoN is better, but the original W3 DotA is still the best. (If anyone needs a Battle.net account to use for this, PM me) The best you can do is buy Guild Wars 2. It's a once-off payment, and the online store is really only for extra character slots, etc. The Elder Scrolls Online is also coming out this year - that might be good.
When opening the game, is this hours long updating going to be a daily occurrence? If so, I might as well not even bother playing.
