^^^ The song is a commentary that any love that is dependent on someone doing something to get it, is an inferior kind of love. eg. If a woman who says "I'll love you if you get a tattoo of my name" and you get the tattoo, you will find out that the love you receive isn't worth doing that. The kind of love that can be bought (even by actions rather than by cash) is a pretty poor sort of love.
Something I would never do for love is too lick a womans anal area. The thought of what comes out daily, is a major turn off. But if it was any other part of her body, that would be different except during her monthly.

I can remember the confusion in everyone and opinions on what exactly "that" was in the song. Perhaps "that" depends on the moment.
I won't change my personality for love because a true love wouldn't ask for that. So for true love, I wouldn't have to do anything I wouldn't be willing to do.
There are many things I won't do. Things that would make me lose my self-respect, or that would hurt my body for no good reason.
