Last year I took Java 1 and I was good at it, but some how I forgot what I learned. Even though I got an "A" in it. Same goes for my algebra class I had an "A" in that last year and some how my memory got wiped clean. So last fall I was struggling when I started on Java 2 and College algebra. Then I got hospitalized and had to drop the classes. Next fall I have to re take the classes. So I am reading the books ahead of time and still struggling. It is so frustrating. I have been browsing the net and YouTube. Does anyone know any good websites and videos that can help me?
I check out this index for beginners to remember the basics from time to time http://lifehacker.com/5744113/learn-to-code-the-full-beginners-guide
there may be some general memorization tricks that might help you in the future once you've learned something and taken notes, it helps to review your notes immediately afterward so that it sinks in
I get A's in all of my programming classes (Java C++ C#). Do you know the fundamentals? If you don't have the fundamentals down I'd recommend chekcing out http://eclipsetutorial.sourceforge.net/totalbegginer01/lesson01.html Once you have the fundamentals down I find the best way to learn is to just jump right in and experiment. Start programming whatever comes to mind. If you're not 100% certain what's going on look it up in the java API. I learned more reading the API than anything else. http://docs.oracle.com/javase/6/docs/api/
Isadoran, go down to the local Wal Mart and buy some Coconut Oil. Coconut oil is known to help improve memory and retention. Google it and you'll see what I mean.
I just read about it. Anything is worth a try at this point. Although my memory loss has nothing to do with Alzheimer's.
Try it. I use it and I don't have Alzheimer's. Not saying it cured me, but it certainly does help with my memory deficits.
