5 months today
No pictures because I am bed ridden with severe tonsillitis and I will spare you all of nightmares.
Will get some as soon as I'm well though, not too much change I dont think

Heres my 5 month update, managed to get hold of my sisters good camera
Fresh from the shower and still wet

 

And this one is because my little one wanted to get involved, kind of shows what my poor hair has to go through daily, constantly pulled! My cats use it as a scratch post lol

 

looking soooooo good and loopy! i'm about 6 months into my natural journey and mine look similar to yours ~ loopy and often fat at the bottom haha

 

Yeah the way they bulk up mid/end makes me laugh, like little ballerina tutus

Theyve shrunk so so much, i will have to get a compare pic of my length before and length now, its so sad, but worth it!

 

They look good, like the messiness and bulkiness

Don't worry about the shrinkage, I lost sooo much length, but they do start growing out if you are patient enough!

 

Holy Schmoly, they shortened a lot... looking good though, mine isn't as bumpy but probably just as bulky haha.

I think i want to add extentions, the length is so awkward i cant tie it up which i need to do for work

Im going to maybe try ones like chaos does, then once my hair has grown enough i can get them out, they are shrinking so much, which i love because of the progress but i have to have it up for work, they bug me about it everytime and i cant wear a hat or anything...

A thought still but looking likely!

 

Ive sewn 3 dread extentions in... Looks okay, not gunna do the whole head, just enough to tie it up comfortabley. The ones i made look like my dreads, i made sure to add loops and not cover any of my existing loops

Once all in i will soak in baking soda solution, go swimming (well, next week) and sleep on my wool pillow so they merge nicely. I am hoping it will work and not look too fake, i dont want that at all! But so far so good, ill get some pics once in and ready.. the last thing i want to do is have to brush because of work, so i must take adequate steps, they make it awkward, hair must be tied, they wouldnt let me clip it back or tie it low (i work in an animal shelter and we use strong chemicals and stuff, plus health and safety during operations and stuff, last thing you want is to sew a foxes wound shut and realise half your dread is stuck in there lol) the rules have all changed due to an incident a few months back! The extentions will be coming out as soon as my hair is long enough, because i just want my natural hair!

 

6 months not great pic but i will try and use the good camera when i see my sister next!! i died them dark but they really are just a weird mixture of colour, mainly my natural brown, dark purple, some red bits, some ginger bits.

 

6 1/2 months, random mixture of colours but I kind of like it..

So... This is my 'straightest' dread, also the tightest/most locked one.

 

Nice, my most uniformed and tightest dread is like 1/3 that size... XD I can't wait to hit the 1 year mark and see how all our dreads differ

 

Only 5 months to go! Thats gone crazy quick!!
