My experience... I was about 16 and one early morning about 5.15am I hear my dad get up for work, he's having a wash in the bathroom which is next to my bedroom. So there I am in bed, half awake half asleep, when I fix my eyes on my digital alarm clock which is located about 10 feet away from my bed... It's still pretty dark outside and I'm watching the red LED lights on my alarm clock when slowly they start changing colour before my eyes, from red to purple to dark blue and then when the numbers changed to a really sharp cyan blue I feel a movement on my bed down near my feet!! I'm fully awake now.. I look down my bed and I can see where my legs are covered with the duvet and I can clearly see my duvet is moving in a way that suggests someone or something is pressing down upon it and they're moving up towards me!! I'm absolutely bricking it now, I can see the movement on the duvet is now past my waist and not only that but I can feel the weight of it too, which goes from my waist area and it rests heavy on my chest... as I look up I can see an outline of a persons shoulders and head, i can't see any features of the face but I'm now fully aware of it's presence, and it is not a nice presence, I get the feeling this 'entity' does not like me. Then I can feel a heaviness around my throat like I'm being strangled, I'm paralysed, I cant move, and now I can't breathe, I try to shout for my dad in the bathroom but I cant make a sound, no sound comes out of me. I think I'm still aware that my digital clock still has bright electric blue numbers on its display instead of the normal red ones but as I'm being strangled I fix my eyes on the clock again and slowly see the numbers change back from blue to their normal red. And with that the presence on me slowly recedes. I'm in a state of shock, I dont get out of bed or call for my dad, instead I just pull the covers over my head and try to asses just what the fuck happened. I kept what happened that early morning to myself for about 5 years, but believe me for the following 12 months the slightest sound at night time and my eyes darted straight to my alarm clock to make sure they weren't changing from red to that sinister blue again lol. I eventually told my family what happened one Christmas when we was all round swapping ghosty stories. Then one day when I was about 27 I was watching Richard & Judy, a UK morning tv show and on it they were discussing sleep poralysis issues and they had a woman on who goes through the scenario I've just described EVERY NIGHT!!! She described it down to a t. I found comfort in this and i accept that this is what I went through... a sleep poralysis episode. But I remember feeling so sorry for this woman who has to endure it every night, I've never experienced anything so terrifying before or since.
bukkakeguy, that's creepy as hell... i wouldn't have been able to sleep alone for months... i don't know if i saw a ghost. i thought i did, but it's been 10 years since, i'm not so sure anymore..
Interesting bit of trivia, but this exact the same thing happened to Joan Osborne while she was recording (her first album I think) in an old house in New England (I think).
Yes...for more years of my life than not...but none for a while. I live in a what is/has been a haunted house. I think they have left, at least for the most part. They don't bother me now, at any rate.
Several years ago I saw a then recently deceased cat that i dearly loved. I took it as a sign that she was OK. In the early 70's I lived in a house that was definitely haunted. I never saw anyone clearly but in certain parts of the house there was certainly a presence that I would sense like a sudden chill in the middle of summer.
I have never seen a ghost, but I have had some unexplained stuff go on in my parent's house that we cannot explain. My brother and my dad see shadows all the time. My mom hears her name being whispered some nights. Things go missing in my house, and we always hear footsteps.. it's pretty creepy. My pap lives in a house that was once owned by a woman who killed herself in the house. My cousin was upstairs in my pap's room watching tv, and thought she heard something. She looked out the bedroom door and saw a lady in a nightgown walk across the hallway, look down the stairs, and walk into another bedroom. My cousin was so scared she wouldn't go upstairs by herself for a long time.
ive never seen a ghost like actualy human shape but ive talked to many spirits not all spirits are ghost tho even tho all ghost but after i was reborn they wouldnt leave me alone
My first ghost sighting was at some ancient ruins that my step dad would take me exploring. He had discovered the ruins and would study them for hours. They were calender sites on the east coast in Vermont. I saw a ghost near a stone hut. The second time it was raining and my mom was driving on a busy road. A cat ran in front of it and she hit the breaks. the cat looked at us and faded. I looked at my mom and asked, "Did you just hit the breaks for a cat that vanished?" She looked at me and replied, "You saw it too!?" The third time I was babysitting at a friends. She and my mom were smoking a joint when they returned. When I looked up, I saw the image of a tall man dash through the double doors. I asked my friend if her place was haunted and she said she always suspected it was because of all the bolts on her closet door but she had boxes keeping the door open after she moved in. I have had a few other encounters but those were the most significant.
The house I'm living in now supposedly is. I'm near a sacred Indian site. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Twice now I've been in my room and my table has started shaking and banging against the wall. I'm the kind of guy who just blows stuff off and not pay attention. When it kept going, I got kind of freaked out. We've been noticing little splashes of water from nowhere, too. And my brother-in-law says he's seen a ghost here. I wouldn't mind seeing one, though I think that table banging against the wall was pretty crazy.
Oh my God! That is wild, and I've experienced things in this house I grew up in and now live in. That is something about the water appearing out of nowhere...which sounds like it is "exorcism eligible", if that makes sense. Something is happening with that. I've had stuff to happen out of nowhere and I could feel my skin crawl all over from what I'd be around and what was happening...that's the only way I know to explain it. It wouldn't be every time the all over tingle would happen. Just suddenly I'd see or hear something and stuff moves...and that's a real special feeling. Table banging would have to be the "most special" of experiences. dang. :2thumbsup: you go dude.
Yeah this house is pretty crazy, actually. I've been feeling little splats of water since I got here. I didn't think much of it at first. But it's weird, and my sister says that when her baby was born like a cup of water fell from nowhere. My brother in law says as he was sleeping, there was a figure reaching down for him, and another time he saw a colorful mass of light turn into a black ball. He's not one to make things up either. We hear noises all the time. There have actually been quite a few events here. Doors slamming hard, footsteps up the stairs and garbled voices. I'm a very skeptical person, so it's still pretty hard for me to swallow. I don't even like talking about it, but I know what I saw and don't know how to explain it. The thing that really scared me was the moment it started to seem like something was trying to get my attention. When it became obvious it wasn't the house settling or something.
