i had a pair of patchwork pants last year. but i outgrew them. and gave them to the poor. they had 4 patches. one was a ying-yang, one was a heart, one was the Swan Song angel from Led Zeppelin, and the other one was a tie-dye flower. i got a friend to make the patches and sew them on.
i have a bag covered with patches... one of them is like this creepy lil creature which could be a teddybear or a pig, but also looks like a child. it's orange with blue toes. i'd get one of those if i were you.
Odd..... I actually found a patch today while walking my dog... A peace sign. (If you saw the town I live in you would know how odd this really is)
on my old deinem coat big red peace sign and music bands. but it lives in a plastic cover in the closet, the one i,m not growing in lol.
Long time ago I had a purple tie dye jeans jacket with patches and purple paisley inserts... :2thumbsup: I'm pretty sure my Mom tossed it out along with my top hat.
I like patches because they are a cheap and sometimes hand made souvenier from places I've been. I put them on my backpack or for the most part, I just save them. Maybe when I get a whole bunch I will put them on a blanket or something.
Patches on the dress gives the cool look. And patches are very useful to cover the cuts on cloths or anything else.
I used to wear jackets covered in patches. The Dead, along with random punk bands. And I used to make my own with screenprinting ink and orange spray paint (backpatches).
i am wearing a path sweater, which is made of wool, very warm, but I don't know that it can't be washed in washing machine, sadly I put it into the washing machine. Although there are patches, but still very warm
I love patches! They're a cheap and easy way to add style to pretty much anything. I sew them for the most part on jackets, t-shirts or hoodies, though I put some on a purse and beanie hat too. I rarely buy them tbh, they're usually given to me or I make them myself using screenprinting, paint, embroidery or just cutting out a piece of cool fabric.
I used to have a smiley face patch sewn on a green ex-army coat when I was at school I saw someone the other day on the tube in North London with loads of different patches sew on his coat.. s'not something you see very often though :2thumbsup:
