I just spent 40 minutes trying to figure out where the hell these stupid little stickers went on my 6 yr olds Strawberry SHortcake scented dollhouse. No directions as to where all those stickers went......nope that would have been to easy. I didnt even attempt the my little pony castle.
I actually like assembling toys and devices... <*shrug*> Must be a guy thing. P.S. Scented dollhouse?? -Jeffrey
A British version of an "Erector Set". I always loved those kind of toys when I was a kid. Erector sets, lego blocks, chemistry and science kits, etc. Figures I would grow up and work in engineering...
Yeah, we were up till about 2 putting shit together......then we found out that we need a dozen different types of batteries to go in everything. I also hate toys that have 50 little accessories to go with them. My boy got like 3 action figures, and all of them came with tiny weapons and other pieces that will eventually get sucked up into my vacuum, and then I'll have to dig through the dirty shit while my son is crying in the corner because he left the stuff on the floor. I <3 christmas.
It all worked out. I went to bed at about 4am but then again that Enter The Matrix game rocks! Maybe I will let the kids play it tommorrow
I hate those damn accessories. The kids never use them anyway. When i started this thread I had just put together a kitchen set (with stove, sink, microwave, etc) The damn thing took an hour and a half! It only took me 20 minutes to set up the damn aquarium! Its worth it though. My one year old, the smallest and most deadly assassin, has been dancing with elmo all morning. He even learned to say Elmo's name. He danced so hard that he's sleep now and I can't say I blame him. If I hadn't promised my aunt that we would come to her house, I'd be sleep to
Yes. Probably the "granddaddy" of all the construction toys, with the exception of simple wooden blocks. Been around since the 1920's , IIRC. Consisted of metal plates, girders and beams that got fastened together with nuts and screws. Deluxe sets added a small electric motor, along with pulleys, gears, and such. Probably made of cheap snap-together plastic nowadays..
I must admit one thing i do miss about my ex husband is his ability to figure this stuff out. oh well i have done fine for the last three years and will only get better at it. and yes.......lol.......the box said Scented dollhouse, but i sure the hell dont smell any strawberries, at least her little doll that goes with smells like em.
yup, only it's not cheap plastic, it's the nice plastic (is that an oxymoron?) my boy LURVES his meccano's.
