If you do favors for the guards, they will do favors for you. In a lot of the cases the guards are just as crooked, if not more so, than the prisoners they guard.

 

That's it. The way some can get raped in prison is with the aid of the guards.. other than the that.. it seems to be impossible as backed up by my original post

 

No first-hand experience here, and hoping to keep it that way, but from what I understand prison rape has nothing to do with 'homosexuality' and is more, like sodomy for the old Greeks, a way of asserting dominance and hierarchy.

As such, it appears the way to get out from under the threat of involuntary corn-holing is, counter-intuitively, to act AS IF homosexual. I forget where I saw this, maybe on one of Louis Theroux' shows, but it seems that in every prison population there's also a small 'gay' demographic who, again, counter-intuitively, considering the proto-fascist machismo dominating prison life, are left alone by the 'straight' inmates - who probably fear being 'infected' with the homosexuality, and perceive the 'queers' as a kind of woman, thus so far off the mucho macho chart as to prove anything by violating. Conversely, the idea is that if you rape a straight man, you are not 'gay', just asserting the natural order.

Needless to say, some of the smarter, but less corporeally endowed inmates will put on a 'homosexual' persona so as to survive their sentence anus intact. I know I would!

 

I do not think that was in reference to procreation. Rather the prison population is better controlled.

Never been in prison so I would have to base it on studies......seems there is a problem with no solutions. Just like the reason that some of those people are in prison.

 

I think a lot goes on psychologically in prison that most people can't really understand. Its probably a mix of showing dominance and living in an environment filled with pent-up testosterone and frustration that gets no release.

I'm not really comparing the two because they're completely different, but it goes along the same lines as pedophilia being common in priests (although, once again, probably not as common as the movies and media would lead you to believe). Its unnatural for a man to be deprived of sex that long, and strange things are bound to happen.

 

By far a totally misleading statement. Pedophilia has nothing to do with abstaining it has to do with a preference for children. That it may be present in priests is because they choose that profession to meet that need. The profession does not make them pedophiles.

In the prison population being a pedophile is something that is not tolerated by them. They would not be raped they would be dead if left within the general population.

Perhaps. I'm really not comparing the two, just pointing out that living in an environment where your natural desires are completely repressed has psychological repercussions.

I'm not really sure if I phrased that right. Not getting laid is one thing. Not getting laid while surrounded by criminal men in very close quarters, in an environment where you never see women is another thing all together.

 

I don't know if many people try to look gay in the hope of not getting raped! I don't think I could pull off pretending to be gay.. and I just couldn't make myself do it. Trying to be somebody I'm not has never worked for me. At least if I didn't I might look somewhat tough.. but if I tried to, I wouldn't be able to make anyone think I'm gay, but more so half way between tough and gay, i.e(an easy target)
