I ran across a link to this site as I was looking into ways to be able to live off the grid so to speak. Although I must admit I am rather spoiled to modern life. On the other hand I dont believe living with the conveniences of electricity running water ad gas should be so destructive. So I am looking for a way to work with the mother and not destroy her. So when I saw a link to how to start your own commune of course I was caught in the web of curiosity. I am 46 and have always wanted to live in a commune of persons that understood me as a person. An asset rather than the weirdo that is to honest. Come on really? The first time I was told that I think I actually shit my self. To honest. OK moving on. I saw in my area a 75 acre piece of land for sale and the old dreams came rushing back. So I have been looking at self sustaining homes ways to work with the land and animals that would benefit all and so on and on and on. You see I have always felt that the only reason we so much crime and child abuse and violence toward nature is because as individuals we are selfish and disrespectful creatures. And we are the smart ones. As a group we would be more likely to consider our neighbor and his needs along with our own. When we got overwhelmed we would not have to ask for help with the crying baby. It was already there. And the stealing from our neighbor would be a waste of time. Who steals from themselves. To me a commune is a family that works together lives together and makes decisions together. When things go wrong or bad the group works together to turn it around. No one is alone unless they choose to be. And no one is left out unless they choose to be. Most that know me call me crazy. But I think i am the most sane one. So let me know what are your thoughts.
